**Michael's POV**
The following Friday I came back to New York for Riley's cousin's wedding. Or, more specifically, to see Elera.
It was driving me crazy not being able to see her all this time, but finally, I would come back for her. I would get to see her beautiful colored eyes and hold her in my arms again. I couldn't wait.
I got off my plane and got in my car. I drove to the park near Elera's apartment and pulled up to the bench where Riley was already waiting for me.
"You're late." She stated impatiently. She sat down and slammed the door, pushing her hair back afterwards.
"My flight was delayed. I told you." I said rather absent mindedly, keeping my focus on the road.
"Well, we still have to get your tux from Sam in fifteen minutes."
"We'll get there in time."
Sam was a friend of Riley's, and they had picked the bridesmaids dresses at his party store. He had been nice to find me something nice in such a short amount of time. I really owed him.We pulled up at Sam's and Riley practically ran out of the car to hug Sam.
"Sorry we're late," she said almost immediately. "His flight was delayed. "
"No problem," Sam said in a calm tone. "Nice to see you again, Michael." He said with a warm smile.
I walked towards him and gave him a small hug. "You too, Sam."
"I'll go get your stuff, you guys can wait out here."
"Alright, thanks," I responded. I turned back and saw Riley smiling at him and nodding.
"What's up with you?" I questioned, already knowing the response.
"Nothing." She stammered. I saw her face was now flushed but she still maintained eye contact.
"I thought you didn't believe in love?" I asked rather than stated.
"If I didn't, why would I be helping you and Elera?"
I smiled and shook my head. "When are you going to tell him?"
This time she shook her head and looked down at her feet. "Not sure if I will, honestly."
"You should, you might miss your chance. "
She looked up and our eyes met. "You think so?"
I nodded. "Soon, whenever you're ready. "
Sam came back and gave me my tux. "Thanks," I said again.
"Anytime," he answered, shaking it off as if it were nothing. If only he knew how important this was to me.
I walked to the car and put it inside. I sat down and waited for Riley, who was still talking to Sam. I closed my eyes and got lost thinking about Elera.
I heard the side door open and opened my eyes. "Did you tell him?"
She shook her head. "No, but I asked him to come with me to the wedding."
I raised my eyebrows at her and waited for her to continue. "Annnnd?"
She couldn't contain her smile anymore. "He said yes!"
I laughed at how happy this made her. Ever since Elera had introduced me to her, we have had a rather unique bond. She was like a sister to me, which is why whenever I messed up with Elera she would give me shit for it, because we were comfortable with each other. She didn't have to be polite because I didn't care. Yeah, there were boundaries but for the most part we were honest and helped each other out.
"Now where are we going?" I asked.
"Your hotel. The wedding's tomorrow and we haven't even rehearsed the song you're doing."
"I've practiced." I practically whined.
She raised her eyebrows at me. "Oh really?"
I nodded my head, causing her to cross her arms. "What song are you going to sing."
I smiled. "You know what song. The song we first sang together." I felt myself blush at these words, and of course Riley noticed.
"Aww Michael! That's perfect! She'll love it!"
I was still smiling when I pulled into the parking lot. "Yeah, let's hope."
