**Michael's POV**
It was Saturday now, the day of the wedding.
I showered and got dressed. I picked up my keys and went to my car. I was so nervous. Today was the day. And she had no idea what was coming.
I got out of my car and walked towards the building. Before I got inside, I was frozen.
There she was. Beautiful as ever. Her hair, her face, her smile. It was everything about her. She looked so stunning in that ivory dress, like an angel.
I was tempted to run up to her then and there and tell her everything, but I refrained. I needed to do this the right way.
I took my seat at the very back, in hopes Elera couldn't see me from back here. Riley could, since she had already known where I'd be seated.
But still, I found myself only paying attention to Elera. I kept looking back in her direction. My thoughts were only of her. I tried to shake them out of my head and focus on the wedding, but it was impossible.
Being this close to her, being able to see her, brings it all back. The butterflies, the racing heart, it's all here. And it's because of Elera.
I didn't even feel this way with Phoebe. We had been together for years, but not even she had ever made me feel the way I felt about Elera. My feelings for her were so strong, I didn't even know how to deal with it anymore.
Before I knew it, the ceremony was over. We headed to the location where the reception took place, except this time I would be driving someone else.
"She won't even know it's you," Riley said confidently. "Just don't lower the partition of the car."
"What did you tell her?" I asked. "Who does she think she's going with?"
"I said that Sam was giving me a ride and I would get her a ride. I said Anne had some extra cars with drivers and most bridesmaids were carpooling."
"But-"
"Just do it." She said, pushing me into the car. I took a deep breath and put my hands on the wheel. I was so nervous I kept drumming my fingers on the steering wheel. I don't know how much time passed until Elera got in the car, but when she did, my heart began to race.
What do I say to her? She can't know it's me. But still, I want to say something.
"Nice wedding?" I asked. Really? That's all I've got?
"Yes, it was lovely."
"What's your favorite thing about weddings?" I asked.
"Umm," she said. I could already imagine her brows furrowing as she thought about the question. "The kiss." She finally responded.
"The kiss?" I asked. "What about the kiss?"
I could almost see her blushing. If only I could turn around.
"I don't know," she answered. "I think I like the anticipation, you know. Like, they've been waiting for that moment. And in that moment, they get what they truly desire. To be each other's, forever."
"Wow," I said, taken aback. "That's beautiful. "
"Thanks," she said with a small chuckle.
"You know, I once had to wait for a girl."
"Oh really?" She asked.
"Mhm. I loved this girl, more than anything on this world. But I had to let her go for a while. I think deep down we both knew why."
