Chapter 30

I am currently laying in bed watching TV. I have nothing to do and is late at night.

Elle walked into my room and just stood there.

"Yes?" I said after pausing my show. "Nothing I'm bored?" "Well go to sleep you have school tomorrow." "I'm not tired." "Well I can't help you. Do you want sleep medicine?" "No. Can you watch this show with me." "Yeah but only a few episodes because you're not staying up late." "Can we watch it in here? Violet has been following me around which is cute but I need some space." "Yeah come on" I said while moving over so she could get in the bed.

I handed her the remote so she could put on the show and we watched a few episodes.

Elle ended up falling asleep and instead of moving her I just let her stay there. The bed is big enough for both of us. And I've been a little hard on her lately.

In all honesty I have to give it to her. I'm sure everyone's thought about running away to get away from school but who's actually done it? I'll tell you, not a lot of people.

Maybe I should ease up on her a little but she needs to know that she can't do that.

I shortly fell asleep after Elle.

I woke up to my alarm and got Elle up too.

I went and made breakfast while everyone in the house was getting ready for the day.

I finished breakfast and went to say bye to Elle before leaving because Anthony will take her and Violet to school.

"Elle I'm about to leave" I yelled out. She came running down the stairs and hugged me.

"Now I'm giving you this but don't get too excited. You're only getting it for school and since it's Friday you can have it over the weekend but during the week you only get it to go to school and then until I get home. You haven't begged for it yet so I'm going to slowly give you your stuff back" I said while giving Elle back her phone. "Is this a prank?" She said taking the phone cautiously. "No I'm serious."

"Thank you. Am I allowed to see Ruby outside of school?" "Not without a parent around. Don't push it. We don't need to hear your conversation but we need to be able to see you." "Okay. You should get going now. Your girlfriends probably wondering why you haven't shown up with breakfast" Elle said trying to be funny. "Stop being a smart ass. Bye love you." "Love you."

I left and got breakfast for Lena before making my way to her job.

I walked into her office and saw her doing paperwork.

"How are you already working it's so early" I said while moving to sit on her couch. "Cause this stuff has to get done. What'd you get?" She said referring to the food I sat down on her table. "I got you a donut and that disgusting smoothie you like." "You haven't even tried it" she said before getting up and making her way over to me. "I don't need to look at the color of that thing" I said before kissing her real quick.

"Thank you" she said before taking her food and eating it. I only got something to drink because I wasn't very hungry.

"So I was thinking about something but I want to ask you first" she said. "Hm. What about?" "I was wondering if Elle was doing anything today after school. I wanted to take her out somewhere, if that's okay with you. Can you ask her for me?" "Just you and her?" "Yeah. If we are ever going to get more serious Elle needs to like me." "She already likes you." "You know what I mean. She's your daughter and I feel like if we ever want to go further I need to have a better relationship with her."

"I'll ask her and I'll text you what she says" I said with a huge smile. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. It's cute that she wants to have a better relationship with Elle. No ones ever done that.

But I did have one question.

"Why are you smiling like that" she said before poking me cheek. "What do you mean by going further?" "What do you think I mean?" "If we move in together we aren't moving in to mine. Anthony, Serena, and Violet have already taken over it so we should just buy a new house or move into yours." "Aw you want to move in together" she said poking me cheek repeatedly, trying to tease me.

"Why do you keep poking my cheek" I said before turning to try and bite her finger. She quickly pulled her hand back and laughed at me. "Cause you look cute" she said giggling a little.

"I think they put something in your drink" I said before moving to pepper kisses all around her face. "Nope just happy" she said before grabbing my face and kissing me.

A/n: I know I said I was going to keep up with my updating but I got sick and that just wasn't fun. I've also been trying to be on my phone a lot less but I'm getting back to updating now because I feel a lot better now. And no I didn't have COVID 🙄.

Anyway next chapter is going to be just Lena and Elle.
