Chapter 3

A/n: this might not be that good it's 4:32 in the morning and I haven't went to sleep so just a warning.

Today was the day I start my job at catco. I'm excited but I'm nervous that I won't be good enough for the job. But I always have to try. So I dropped Elle off and got some food for me and Alex and headed to Alex's apartment.

I knocked on the door waiting for her to answer. It took a few minutes but finally the door opened.

"Hey Alex". "Hey Y/n what are you doing up so early". "Incase you forgot I have a kid that I need to take to school also you seem to love not eating breakfast so I got you some". "Oh yeah thanks. Come in" she said as she moved to let me in.

"Hey don't you start your new job today". "Yeah". "Are you nervous". "Yes I'm nervous I won't be good enough". "Are you kidding me you'll do great and if you need help you can always call Lena". "How about I not do that I might act awkward around her". "Why". "No reason it's just a silly crush now that I think of it, it shouldn't be that weird I should be fine" I said a little nervous.

"Oh nice try as if I'm going to believe that I've known you to long I know your lying so tell me what actually happened". "Fine. I keep having dreams about her and I barley know her and they're not regular dreams" you said remembering the first dream you had about her the night after you met her. "Oh my gosh your having sex dreams about Lena Luthor" Alex screamed out. "What the hell Alex shut up". "What. You didn't deny it". "Just shut up". "So it is true". "Well looks like I have to go now work is about to start soon". "It doesn't start for another hour". "Well I like to walk the long way so I got to go". "Aw how adorable your embarrassed". "Bye now Alex".

"Wait before you leave, I need you to bring Elle to the Deo after school". "What for". "She wanted me to teach her something can you just bring her by". "Alex you know I don't want her around that place". "I know but I promise I will protect her with my life". "I know you will. Fine I'll bring her by". "Ok good now you can leave to go see the person in your dreams". "I'm not even going to comment on that goodbye Alex". "Bye Y/n".

I walked out and took my time walking to catco since I didn't have to be there that fast.

Once I arrived I got settled in and Kara would stop by my office every once in a while to make sure I was alright and didn't need any help. The first half of the day was going by really good. That was until Kara came in my office at lunch time.

"Hey Y/n I need you to call Lena for me and tell her I can't make it to lunch" she said speaking fast. "Why. I don't even have her number". "I have to do something you know crime and all that but here's her number and can you make sure she gets food I'll pay you back she just won't eat unless someone stops her from her work" she said handing me a piece of paper. "Yeah. Wait does she know". "No I haven't found the right time to tell her". "Ok fine you can go now". "Thank you". "Yeah now go". Then she flew off.

I stared down at the paper. I guess I have to call her. So I dialed the number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello" I heard a voice say.

"Um hi is this Lena Luthor".

"Yes it is who is this".

"Oh good. Uh it's Y/n Alex's friend".

"Oh I didn't know you had my number".

"I didn't Kara just gave it to me she said she can't make it to lunch".

"That's fine I guess" she said a little disappointed.

"Well if you want I can come by with some food I mean you don't have to say yes but Kara did tell me to make sure to get you food and make sure you eat and if she finds out I didn't she'll k-" I got cut off.

"Yes you can come over. Kara makes me sound like such a child I am perfectly capable of eating I just get to invested in my work to focus on food" I don't want you to think I'm a child you already have to take care of one that would just be more work for you.

"Then I'll be at L Corp in couple minutes".

"Ok see you then".

"Ok bye".

Once I hung up the phone i sat there for a second and thought. I really hope I'm not awkward I need my brain to forget those dreams. I finally stood up and I raced out of catco and went to the nearest place to get food.

I really hope I don't mess this up.

Lenas Pov:
After I hung up the phone I had to tell Jess to let Y/n in when she gets here.

I cleaned up the little bit of papers that were scattered in my office and put them neatly on my desk.

I'm not going to lie I'm really excited that Y/n was coming by. I know Kara is supergirl and that's why she couldn't come. She hasn't told me yet but glasses are not a disguise. Either way for once I'm glad that she had to cancel because now I get to have lunch with Y/n. Also me and Kara need to have a talk I can't believe that she made me sound like I was a child that can't feed itself.

I can't stop thinking about her I don't want to mess this up I need to ask her out at the end of this. I thought to myself.

Then I saw the door open.

Your Pov:
I walked into L Corp and walked up to the secretary which I learned her name was Jess, and told her my name and she let me go right in.

Once I opened the door I saw her looking at me and I froze for a second. Why is she so beautiful . Once I noticed I was staring and not even fully in the room I awkwardly held up the bag of food I was holding and said "I got you some food". "I see. Are you going to fully step into the room". "Oh yeah". I moved inside and she told me that we could sit on the couch in her office.

"So what was Kara's excuse this time for not coming" she said pulling the food out the bag.
"She um... she I mean I sent her out to do research for an article and it has taken her longer than usual" I said not convincingly. "Oh she definitely knows her secret" Lena thought to herself. "I haven't heard about this what's it about she usually tells me" she said interested. "It's about..... pens". "Really what about them". "About how the.....um".

"Y/n it's ok I know her secret identity you don't have to lie for her". "What are you talking about". "Kara I know she's supergirl and I know that you know so don't say you don't". "I wasn't suppose to tell you". "It's ok I won't say anything but tell me, was she ever going to tell me about it". "Yes she said that she never had the right time but when she does can you just act surprised". "Sure". "So how did you figure it out". "Y/n are you serious glasses do not hide who you are I don't care how hard she tries it's not going to work". "I told her the glasses wouldn't work".

"Oh yeah I'm sorry I didn't say this earlier but congratulations on getting the job". "Thank you". "I know you'll do a great job if you need help you can always ask me". "I will thank you".

The rest of the time was spent with us just talking more until I had to go.

Lenas Pov:
She was about to leave and I couldn't stop thinking. Just ask her Lena don't be dumb she is about to leave just ask.

"Wait Y/n before you leave I want to ask you something" I said stopping her from opening the door. "Yes" she said turning around. "Well I just wanted to know if you wanted to......go on a date with me". "Do you mean like as friends". "No I mean an actual romantic date". "Oh. Yes, you have my number text me when and where I have to get back now I have a lot of stuff to do before the end of the day". "Ok bye". "Bye" she said she walked out.

I can't believe I'm actually going on a date with Y/n.
