Chapter 23

Me and Serena ended up just getting dinner.

We went home and ended up watching a movie.

I was on my bedroom laying down when I heard the door open.

"I'm back mom!" Elle yelled. I went downstairs to where they were.

"Thanks for taking her out mom" I said. "It was no problem. Elle why don't you go out your things away." "Okay" she said while walking away.

"Look y/n I know we don't have the best relationship but can you just give me a chance. I want to be here for all of you. And I want to be there for Elle. I promise I've changed. Just give me a chance." "I'm not trusting you fully right away. You can be around Elle and stuff but don't think that I'm forgiving you fully. And stop dropping by unannounced." "Okay thank you." "Cool now go home cause I'm tired and I have to make sure Elle gets ready for school." "Alright bye." "Bye" I said while watching her walk out the door.

Was that the right thing to do? No clue. We will just see.

I walk away and go to the bottom of the steps. "Elle your ass better be getting ready for school!" I yell. "I am!" She yells back. I go into the kitchen and get a bottle of water.

The rest of the night I just watched tv.

The next day went by smoothly until the day was coming to an end.

When Elle gets done school she either goes to my work or walks home by herself and texts me when she gets home. She always texts me when she's done school and tells me where she's going.

Today she texted me that she was going to walk to my job. But she hasn't showed up yet.

I didn't want to jump to any conclusions yet so I waited a few minutes to see if she would show up. Of course she didn't. So I called her phone a few times. No answer.

I walked over to Kara's desk and tapped her."I need you in my office" I said before walking away with her behind me.

"What's up" she said. "Elle hasn't shown up yet" I said worriedly. "Okay maybe she stopped at a friends house or the Deo" she said calmly. "No Kara she knows how this work. She wouldn't do that. No ummmm she knows she has to go exactly where she told me she was going" I said while starting to pace back and forth. "Just calm down don't jump to conclusions." "Can you please just scan the city and see if you can find her. Please Kara." "Sure why don't you call Alex and ask her if she's at the Deo." "Okay can you please go now." "Yes I'm going. I'll be back."

She left and I called Alex.

"Alex."

"Hey y/n."

"Is Elle there with you?"

"No? Was I supposed to pick her up or something?"

"No. Alex I don't know where she is. I'm trying to stay calm but what if someone took her? What am I going to do?" I said with a few tears starting to run down my face.

"Did you tell Kara to look for her?"

"Yes she's out doing it right now."

"Okay I'll try doing what I can here why don't you go home and check to see if she's there."

"Okay bye."

"Bye y/n I'll call you later."

I hung up and left Catco. I tried to get home as fast as I could.

Once I got home I searched the whole house. But she wasn't there.

I was about to leave to go search for her when Kara came into my house with her supergirl outfit on.

"Did you find her" I said desperately. But just from her face I could tell. "I'm sorry y/n I couldn't but I'm not going to stop looking for her."

"Okay thanks Kara. I've got to go now" I said while walking out the door. "Hey, Y/n where are you going" she said while pulling my arm making me stop. "To go look for her." "Are you sure maybe you should stay here what if she comes home." "Kara my fucking daughter is missing I can't just sit here!" I snapped. "I'm sorry Kara but I have to go look for her. I know she's missing I can't sit here" I said before walking out the door.

I've been walking around for hours trying to find her but I couldn't. It was the middle of the night and I was starting to get really tired but I couldn't stop looking for her.

I was walking down this street when a car stopped beside me. I just kept walking. Until Lena came out from the car.

"Y/n." "What are you doing out this late?" "Looking for you. Kara told me what happened and she said that you've been out for a while and haven't come home" she said while pulling me into a hug. "I can't go home yet Lena" I said crying into her. "Someone took her I need to find her. She's probably so scared. What are they doing to her. I have to find her I can't stop" I said still crying. "Calm down love. We will find her. But you've got to get some sleep even if it's just a little. You'll be more alert if you do. And while you're sleeping we'll keep looking for her." "Fine."

"Okay who's house do you want to go to?" "Yours please."

We got back into the car and I ended up falling asleep on her shoulder. I felt her carry me up to her apartment and lay me down. She started to walk away and I pulled her arm back. "Don't go" I whispered.

Without another word she climbed into the bed and I cuddled into her. "It's going to be alright" she said before kissing my forehead.

A/n: yeah I updated finally 🙄. I knew you were all getting bored so I threw this in here. I didn't even plan this I literally stayed up to write this garbage. I should be asleep cause I have school but oh well. And I'm going to try not to disappear again. Anyway bye.
