Chapter 21

I woke up the next day later than usual but still early. Lena was up which isn't shocking. I brushed my teeth then went to go eat breakfast.

"Did you eat?" I asked Lena when I came back from the kitchen with a bowl of cereal. "Yeah I ate an apple." "How long ago did you wake up?" "Like three hours ago." "You woke up three hours ago and only at an apple? You could've woke me up by the way." "Yeah and you looked peaceful I didn't want to wake you up." "Go eat something else. How are you not hungry? Do you want me to make you something? Like eggs or something?" "Nope I'm good." "You sure? I can make you like an omelet or something like pancakes or waffles." "Fine can you make me an omelet?" "Yes I can. I'm going to go wake Elle up first." I kissed her cheek then walked out the room while finishing up my cereal.

I walked to the kitchen, put my bowl in the sink then walked to Elle's room.

"Elle wake up there's a spider on your face!" I yelled in her ear. "AHH!" she yelled while smacking her cheek and falling off the side of her bed. "Ow! Why would you do that!?" "Because you don't wake up when I tell you to so I screamed at you this time. Now get up if you want to go to the mall. Also what eggs do you want because I'm not cooking anything else." "Fried and can you make bacon with it?" "I said I wasn't cooking anything else." "Please?" "Fine. And clean your room if you want to go to the mall." "Ugh it's not even that dirty." "Clean the room Elle" I said while walking out the room.

I went to Anthony and Serena's room next.

"Ahhhhhhhhh help!" I yelled out. Both of them shot up from where they were sleeping and looked around the room. Before they could say anything Lena and Elle ran down into the room.

"What happened?!" They both said at the same time. "Nothing I was waking them up." "What the hell y/n" Serena said while throwing a pillow at me. I caught then threw it back at her. "Anyway, are you going to the mall with us Serena?" "Yeah." "Get dressed then."

"Hey! What about me?" Anthony asked. "You are going to go figure out why mom is here. And don't bring her back here while I'm gone. I don't want her digging through my things." "Ugh fine. Buy me food though." "Are you paying for it." "No." "Then no." "Aw come on." "Fine."

"I'm making eggs what kind do you guys want." "Scrambled" they said at the same time. "Ok."

I went and made the food. Once everyone was done we got ready. I pulled open the door to leave and of course my mom was standing there.

"Hey cricket." "Don't call me that." "Why not?" "Because I said not to. Why are you here?" "I'm going to the mall with you guys." "No you're not. I said you could take Elle when we got back. You're not coming with us." "Why not. I just want to spend time with my kids and my granddaughter." "That's cool but I won't be apart of that. You can spend time with them when we get back." "Oh come on y/n." "You can leave now." "I see Lena is at your house again.What's she doing here." "For the last time none of your business."

"Oh hey mom. What're you doing here?" Anthony said when he came out of his room. "Going to the mall with them." "No you're not. Anthony don't you have some place to show her." I said while starring at him. "No I don- yeah yeah um you're right I do." "Exactly mom Anthony will take you to this really cool place and you can hang out with them when we get back. Sound good? Great!" I said while pushing her out the door and closing it.

"Anthony go show her some coffee shop or something I'll text you when we get back." "Fine." "Hurry up and leave so I can make sure everything is locked." "Ok I'm going" he said while walking out the door.

"You guys can go get in the car. I'm just going to be a minute" I said while going to the kitchen.

I got a water bottle and then went to go leave.

"Why didn't you get in the car Lena?" I said when I came back from the kitchen. "Why don't you like your mom?" "It's a long story." "You can tell me y/n." "I'll explain later. I promise. Just not right now." "Y/n." "When we get back I'll tell you. But let's just go get in the car for now." "Fine."

We got in the car and went to the mall. And everything was good until I got home.
