Chapter 24

I woke up and walked out of Lena's room.

"Hey I made breakfast." She said passing me a plate of food when I walked into the kitchen. "I'm not hungry I have to go" I said while kissing her cheek real quick and then trying to rush to the door. Of course she stopped me by tugging on my arm. "Y/n please eat something. Just a little." "I can't I already lost enough time sleeping I don't want to waste anymore." "If you don't eat something you won't be going anywhere." "Fine."

I hurried up and scarfed the food down. "There I'm done I have to go now." "Okay I'm going with you." "You're not going to go to work?" "Work is not important right now. Elle's missing." "Are you sure?" "Yes now let's go."

We quickly went out the house and started look for her. We spent a whole looking around then we decided to go to the school. They said they didn't know where she was.

Me and Lena were walking when we saw Sam rushing up to us.

"Thank god I ran into you y/n" she said out of breath. "Do you know where Ruby is?" She said worriedly. "No? Should I?" "I would hope so she spent the night at your house." "I wasn't even at my house last night. I was up looking for Elle and then Lena picked me up and I went to her house."

"Where's Elle?" "I don't know. They're both missing?" "I guess so. Who told you that she was supposed to spend the night?" "Ruby did. She told me yesterday that she was going to walk back to your place with Elle and spend the night. I guess they never made it."

"I guess. Have you tracked her phone yet?" "No have you tracked Elle's?" "I haven't but Alex probably has. Let's go see."

"What if they're hurt y/n" Sam said while starting to walk with me and Lena. "Let's hope not. If they're both missing then there's a good chance they are with each other so at least they aren't alone." "I hope so."

We walked for a while until we got to the Deo.

(I can't remember if Sam knows about the Deo or not but since she's dating Alex let's just pretend she does)

We walked in and I went straight to Alex who was standing next to Winn.

"Uh Alex can I talk to you?" "Yeah sure" she said before turning around. "Oh hey Sam I didn't know you where here. And Lena too. What's happening?"

"You tracked Elle's phone right?" I asked. "Yeah but when we went to go get it, it was left at her school." "Okay I need you to track Ruby's phone now." "Why?" "She's missing too" Sam said. "Okay I can see what Winn can do give me like a few minutes."

She quickly walked away and then came back a few minutes later.

"Winn tracked it back to this weird place. Let's go check it out" she said before we all followed her.

We arrived at this weird abandoned building. We walked inside and there they were. Elle was sleeping against a wall and Ruby was sitting next to her on her phone.

"Oh my god" Sam yelled running to go hug Ruby. Elle jumped up and looked around worriedly until her eyes landed on me and Lena.

Something didn't seem right about this situation though.

"Oh heyyyy how's you guys find us" Elle said. "We tracked Ruby's phone" Lena said. "Oh my god Ruby how stupid are you" I heard Elle mumble under her breath.

"What are you talking about Elle?" I asked her. "Huh." "Why'd you just say that." "I didn't say anything." "Yes you did."

"Uh Y/n can I talk to you for a second" Lena said while pulling me aside.

"Doesn't something seem weird here" I whispered to her. "Yeah that's what I was going to say. I don't think they were kidnapped. If they were they'd be in a rush to leave but they're not. Plus Elle has her phone." "I know I noticed that too. Let's just take them back to the Deo and run some tests on them." "Yeah."

"Okay guys let's go before whoever took you comes back." I know they didn't get taken but I'm going to play it like they did. They clearly ran away but why?

We all went back to the Deo and Alex ran some tests on them.

"Sam come here" I said while leading her to a private place. "What's up?" "You know they didn't get kidnapped right?" "Yeah I know. I keep thinking of reasons why they might've ran away but I can't think of any. Are we bad parents? Did we not pay attention enough?" "No Sam don't think like that. Don't assume anything yet until we can get the full story. You're a good mom Sam. I'm sure she didn't run away because of you." "Yeah. You're right." "Okay let's go check on them."

We walked back to the room and they were both whispering to each other until we walked in.

"So are one of you going to tell us what's going on?" I said while crossing my arms. "We got kidnapped by this weird old guy" Ruby said. "We know you didn't get kidnapped. The longer you don't talk to worse your punishment will be" Sam said.

"Okay we ran away" Ruby said before Elle smacked her arm. "Stop talking" Elle whispered to her.

"How about you start talking Elle." "There is nothing to say. Someone took me." "Stop playing with me. Do you know how worried me and Sam were? Not just us. You had everyone running around trying to find you and freaking out." "We were only gone for one day calm down" Elle said.

'Ugh why did I have a kid' I thought to myself.

"That's it. You're not getting the phone, tv or any of it." "We ran away to get away" Ruby said. "What?" Sam said. "We wanted to get away so we ran away." "Seriously Ruby stop talking" Elle said.

"What were you getting away from?" "School. It's to hard. Elle thought that if we run away we wouldn't have to do the work. And it was a good idea until I got bored" Ruby responded. "Really Elle? We'll talk about this when we get home. For now say bye because you two aren't seeing each other for a while." "But mom-" "No Elle I don't want to hear it. Say bye. When I get back you better be ready."

I walked out the door and found Lena talking to Kara. She saw me and walked over to me.

"Everything alright?" "Yeah. I just wanted to tell you Me and Elle are going home. I'll talk to you later." "Okay. Are you sure everything is fine." "Yeah I'm just trying to figure out what to do with Elle." "Okay text me later." "I will" I said before she kissed me.

"Love you" she said after pulling away slightly. "Love you too" I said before pecking her lips really quick and walking away.

"Let's go Elle" I said while walking past the door. She rushed out and we went home.

"Elle you're okay" Anthony and Serena said when we walked in. They rushed over to hug her.

"Guess what your niece did? She ran away. Can you guess why?" I said to them. "You did what Elle!?" Serena said. "She ran away so she didn't have to do her schoolwork." "Really Elle?" Anthony said. But Elle didn't respond. She just kept her head down.

"Phone, controllers to the game and your tv remote now" I said to Elle. She walked away then came back a couple minutes later.

She slammed them on the table and started walking away.

"Uh uh come back. I didn't think I would have to say to say it but give me the tablet and your old phone too. You're not getting anything for at least two months." "I can't even have the tv?" She begged. "Maybe in a week. And since you ran away because of school, when I get your report card you better not be failing or you won't be seeing your phone or anything else until next year." "Ughh!" She screamed then stormed away slamming her door.

"I'll take that fucking door off if she slams it again" I mumbled to myself.

"Uh oh Y/n's in mommy mode" Anthony said. "Shut up or I'll kick you out of this house and let you live on the fucking street" I said after slapping him in the back of the head then walking away.

What the hell am I going to do with this kid?

A/n: I feel so bad because I told someone I was updating this a week after I posted the last chapter and it's two months later 😬 I'm sorry. I was trying to figure out how I wanted this to go. Anyway if you have any suggestions for filler chapters until I get to the good part which is coming soon I swear just let me know.
