Renjun finally decides that he can no longer live with his abusive boyfriend. He managed to get away one night and ends up staying with some mutual friends that will help him on his path of recovery.

Renjun woke up to birds chirping outside his window and the sun shining into his room. He slowly lifts himself and rubs the sleep from his eyes as he also feels around his bed.
After feeling around for a minute, he soon starts to wake up faster to look with his eyes. He looks through the sheets and pillows but can't find his Moonmin. He can feel slight fear build up in his gut at not having his comfort item with him.
He quickly rushed out of bed and started to look around the room frantically. He knows it's childish to have a stuffed animal and be so attached to it but he still can't help the tears that build up in his eyes at not being able to find it.
Once Renjun deems it not in the room, he quickly makes his way out of the room and down the hall to the living room. He passed the kitchen where all the others in the apartment were having their morning coffee and breakfast.
They all turned their heads when hearing small rushed footsteps pass by and become alarmed when they see fear in Renjun's face. Jaemin motions for the others to stay so they won't overwhelm him by all being there.
He walks over to the living room to sees Renjun frantically looking around like he is searching for something.
Jaemin makes his way to the other and brings his searching to a stop as he asks gently, "what are you looking for?"
Renjun looks up to him and then around the living room again as tears start to cascade down his face. "I-I can't f-find my Moonmin," Renjun says as he starts to bite at the skin around his nails out of nervousness.
Jaemin sees this and gently takes the hand away from the other's mouth and holds it, along with the other, in his larger hands. "Hey, look at me," Jaemin gently says as he tries to get the boy to focus on one thing. It took a couple of moments but Renjun finally put his full focus on Jaemin but still had no control of his tears.
Jaemin lifted one of his hands and used his sleeve to dry the tears before saying, "how about we look together, hmm. He has to be somewhere in the apartment, so we will find him."
Renjun listened intently to the other and nodded along to show he understood. "Okay, we're was the last time you remember holding him?" Jaemin asked as he looked the boy in the eyes.
Renjun took a second to think and then remembers, "I-I had him wh-when I was on the cu-couch with Donghyuck."
Jaemin nodded at the information and brought the boy over to the couch. Renjun helped lift the couch cushions with Jaemin as they looked. Then around, under, and behind the couch.
As Jaemin was looking behind, he let out a sound of accomplishment before pulling out the white hippo with his hands. Renjun lets out a sound of joy and he grabs it and pulls it to his chest with a smile.
Jaemin smiles at the adorable sight before noticing that there was dust that collected onto the stuffie. Jaemin moves closer to the boy and gets his attention before saying, "Injunie, can I wash him, please? He has dust all over him and it might make you sick."
Renjun looked down at the white stuffed animal and did admit that he wasn't in his best condition. After hesitating for a minute, he slowly handed over the hippo while saying, "please be careful with him."
Jaemin smiles and says, "I will even put a seatbelt on him when I go to work to wash him."
Renjun nods in approval before following the other into the kitchen where the other three sat still worried. Once Renjun steps into the kitchen, Donghyuck came up to him and starts asking questions, "what happened? Are you alright? Did something bad happen? Do I need to ki-"
Donghyuck was soon cut off by Yangyang covering his mouth and saying, "hyuck, let him breathe." The brown-haired male glares at Yangyang before removing his hand and looking at Renjun to answer his questions.
Renjun looks at the other and feels embarrassed by saying, "I couldn't find Moonmin and started to freak out. I'm sorry to make you worry over me about something so stupid."
Donghyuck shook his head at the other and says, "don't say that. If something makes you upset, then it's important." He then leads Renjun to the dining table and offered him some of the food he made himself for breakfast.
Renjun's eyes lit up at the sight of pancakes and immediately started to eat them with a happy smile.
Jaemin checked his watch and saw he had to leave for work and washed his mug before moving to kiss all his boyfriends goodbye. He hesitated when he got to Renjun and opted to just pat the boy's head and say by to him before heading out the door with his bag in one hand and the Moonmin in the other.
Yangyang was the next one that had to leave, which also meant Donghyuck had to go too. They said their goodbyes and left out the door and then the kitchen was left in silence once more. Jeno was sat across the table from an eating Renjun and just watched the boy as he sipped on his morning coffee.
After they sat in silence for a while, Jeno speaks up, "I am off of work today, so I will take you to the police station." Renjun stopped eating at those words and then nodded at the other in understanding.
He can't believe he is finally going to do something to stand up against that man. Renjun could feel fear but relief at the same time at the thought that he will finally give the man what he deserves.
