"Before you go..."
Dean looked into Castiels eyes begging him to stay as Cas stared at him with such love and such compassion he wasn't so sure he deserved, he knew this would be the last goodbye, and he wanted to make sure that Cas knew he loved him to.
"Was there something I could've said to make it all be better?"
As castiel confessed his love for Dean, Dean stood there mouth suddenly dry staring into Castiels eyes in a silent confession...but the words were left unsaid as the empty came and took his love away, taking a piece of his heart with it.
"It kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless, SO-"
As he ignores his brothers calls from his phone, feeling so useless. He runs a shaky hand through his hair and lingers on his face wondering. "Why didn't I try harder?" And if he did, would cas still be alive to hear the words he held in for so long. "I love you too.."
"Before you go."
Dean sits on his bed in the bunker at night looking to the sky praying to that certain someone who can not hear his prayer, saying the unsaid words that will never be heard while they are living. "I have something to say Before you go.."
