Kai Chisaki/Overhaul x reader one-shots

Wish I were

((Angst time-))

I still remember 

3rd of December   

You, Kai & F/n ((Friend/name)) had been best friends for the longest time, ever since you were kids. 

You stuck together, even when Kai had become a villain & took over the Shie Hassaikai. You had obviously joined the Yakuza, along with F/n. You had eventually developed a slight crush on Overhaul, but you couldn't tell him because you were too scared. 

You soon noticed the way that Overhaul & F/n looked at each other, you tried to ignore it, but it soon became clear. 

Only if you knew how much I liked you

But I watch your eyes as they walk by...    

They were dating. 

You tried your best to support them, but it still hurt. You tried to keep it a secret, but Setsuno soon noticed. So, when he asked you why you were so upset, you broke down in tears & explained your whole 'situation' to him. 

They've got you memorized

Setsuno did his best to comfort you, which you appreciated, but it wasn't helping a whole lot. 

Why would you ever kiss me? 

I'm not even half as lovely...             

A couple of months later, they were being more 'lovey' to each other, holding hands & things like that. It was getting harder to deal with, your heart hurt more & more. 

You like them better 

Wish I was F/n.                  

You had began to shut others out you were so upset. You were even ignoring Setsuno. You had spent most of your time in your room, unless you had to get out to go to meetings for the Shie Hassaikai or to do necessary things. Of course, during meetings, Overhaul & F/n would still do the normal 'couple' things. 

Watch as they stand with them, holding your hand 

Put your arm 'round their shoulder, now I'm getting colder...     

Anytime those sorts of things would happen & Setsuno was around, he'd look at you with a sad sort of look. But you'd shake your head & give him a sort of "I'm fine" look. 

But how could I hate them, they're such an Angel 

You heard him call them 'Angel' in meetings. You wished you were the one he was saying that to. But you also hated yourself for feeling like that. They were happy together. That's all you wanted. 

But then again, kinda wish they were dead...     

You hated yourself for wishing that. 

This went on for months. Soon, months turned into a year. They were celebrating their one year anniversary together & were having a sort of party with only a few other Shie Hassaikai members. Which included you & Setsuno. 

Why would you ever kiss me?  

I'm not even half as lovely...              

You were hurting on the inside, quite a bit. But, you were still going to force yourself to go to this party. The days leading up to the party, your mental state was the worst it had been. You had began to harm yourself, the wounds getting worse every day. 

You like them better. 

I wish I were F/n.

The day of the party, you were on the rooftop. You were incredibly close to the edge, staring down. You rolled up your sleeves to stare at the deep cuts that covered your arms. You took a deep breath as you closed your eyes. 

"Y/n, are you up here- Oh, there you are! Wait- Why are you up here?" You flinched at the sound of Overhaul's voice. You slowly turned around to see Overhaul with F/n at his side. Setsuno was close behind them. 

When Setsuno saw you, he gasped & shoved Overhaul & F/n to the side. 

"Y/n, get away from the edge. Now." Setsuno said. Overhaul was confused, what was happening? 

At that moment, Overhaul noticed the cuts that covered your arms. He gasped as his eyes widened & his arms dropped to his side. He then ran to Setsuno, who was getting closer to you, trying to convince you not to jump. 

"Y/n, what's wrong? Why didn't you just come to me, or F/n to talk about this-"

"BECAUSE, I LOVE YOU, OVERHAUL!" You yelled, cutting Overhaul off as tears streamed down your face. 

"I fucking love you, & I wish I was with you, but you're with F/n, and you seem so happy together, so I don't want to get in the way. I'm sorry." You said to Overhaul, tears still streaming down your face as you gave a sad smile. 

"Y/n, we can talk about this, you don't have to do this-"

"Why would you ever love me? I'm not even half as lovely as F/n. You like them better." You said as you stepped closer to the edge. Your back was turned to the edge. 

"Please, Y/n, don't jump, I would miss you, so much." Overhaul said, his eyes becoming visibly glossy with tears. 

"Please, don't lie to me." You said with a sad smile. 

"This is goodbye." 

"Y/N, NO!"

Overhaul ran towards you as you stepped off the edge, falling backwards. 

Huh, I lived quite a sad life... 

You thought to yourself as you smiled sadly. 

At least it's all over now. 

Without thinking, Overhaul jumped over the ledge after you. He managed to reach you, holding you close into his chest as you both fell. You gasped, before sobbing. "K-Kai, no..." You said as you sobbed. 

"I love you too, Y/n." 

Then you both hit the ground with a heavy thud.
