"I don't understand how you can be thinking about anything other than ramen right now. Seems out of character." Sasuke growled as he leaned against the wood pillar that belonged to Naruto's favorite place in the world. Ichiraku Ramen.

"Hey, lay off! I'm just worried about a friend." Naruto huffed, his arms folded. He was stumped. Why was Hinata acting so strangely? Sasuke shook his head and closed his eyes.

If he doesn't understand now, he never will. It would be pointless to explain it to him. Sasuke thought, wishing to be out of the bustling area.

"Whatever you say." He spoke, not wanting to discuss the topic any more.

"Naruto! Here! Two orders of miso ramen with extra pork. Did you need anything else?" Ayame asked, her eyes sparkling.

"That's all for me! Thank you, Ayame. Tell old man Teuchi that I'll be back soon." Naruto gave her a small head bow along with his sweet words. Ayame giggled at him.

"We know that, Naruto. Have a good night! You too, Sasuke." She winked at both of them, turning around to get back to work. Sasuke nodded and quickly started to walk away from the establishment. Naruto hurriedly followed him with his order in his hand.

"Hey, what's the hurry?" the blond asked, trying to avoid crashing into anyone. Sasuke kept walking.

"I'm just ready to get home. We've been out all day."

Naruto narrowed his brow. "You want me out of your hair that bad, huh?" he dejectedly said along with uncomfortably chuckling. Sasuke shook his head.

"N-No." He slowed his pace down. "I'm... sorry." Sasuke quietly muttered out. It was a little hard for Naruto to hear, but he understood.

It's still weird for me to hear him apologize for anything... Naruto bit his lip.

"So, are we going to our own places tonight?" Naruto asked, the two of them getting closer and closer to Sasuke's apartment.

"I... guess so. We should probably stop sleeping together every night." Sasuke shrugged, slipping his hands into his pockets.

"Sleeping together?!" Naruto stopped in his tracks. Sasuke smacked him on his arm.

"That has two meanings, you idiot! I mean sleeping in the same bed!" Sasuke raised his voice. A few villagers in the distance could almost certainly hear their interaction. Naruto rubbed his new bruise.

"You are just- just-!" he couldn't finish. Naruto Uzumaki accepted defeat.

It took only but a couple steps more, and they had arrived at Sasuke's apartment.

I wish I could tell him how much fun I had today without being too embarrassed about it. Sasuke thought, beginning to unlock the door. Naruto was staring dejectedly at the ground.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked, his food still in his hand. Sasuke turned around and nodded.

I think I know how. He thought. He placed his keys into his pocket and turned around, now facing Naruto. His hands traveled to and caressed Naruto's whiskered covered cheeks and gently held them. Sasuke leaned in close, closed his eyes, and gave Naruto the most telling thing he could. It was an easier and perhaps more effective way to tell him that he had a good day. Naruto happily accepted the gesture. He closed his eyes, leaned down slightly to put his food on the ground, then placed his hands on Sasuke's waist, returning the sweet kiss.

It was one of those kisses that was so blissfully meaningful that neither of them could stop. It was one of those kisses where they were sharing each other's breath because they had been kissing for so damn long.
