Sasuke woke to remember that he was assigned with the blonde-haired idiot and the hopeless pink-haired diva. Naruto and Sakura, the two he didn't want to be with. To be honest, he didn't want to be with anyone. Human interaction just slowed him down. However, as badly as he wanted revenge, his thirst for it subsided with the help of his sensei and his teammates, as much as he hated to admit it. Life as a shinobi was a tolerable one. Sasuke let Itachi live for the time being.

"Damn it," He said, slapping his own face. "Wake up. I don't want to be late." Sasuke muttered to himself, slumping out of bed. His feet touched the ground. It was cold. He sighed, walking over to his wardrobe. He forgot that he had hung his clothes up on his wardrobe the night before. That made things a little easier. He put on some dark navy blue pants, and a long navy blue shirt with his clans symbol on the back.

As much as I miss my black jumper, this doesn't make me look too bad. I guess. He thought to himself, sighing and walking into his bathroom.

Fuck, my hair. Sasuke mused as he grabbed a comb and glided it through the jet-black mess that was his hair. Only about five minutes passed, and he was looking sharp. Walking back into his room, he donned his shoes.

We better have something worthwhile doing today.

Before he left, however, he glanced at a picture of his squad. He would frequently look at that picture, and focus his attention to the blonde. He didn't care to figure why. He shook his head after a couple of seconds and prepped his backpack.

Socializing was a drain on his energy. He just didn't feel like seeing anybody, and even more so lately. Soon, he walked out of his apartment all prepared, backpack and all, and went to where the team was going to meet.

He was under threat of harm to meet at the Ramen Ichiraku for their first assignment. Once arriving, he couldn't see teammates.

"Whatever," Sighing, he decided to wait. "I'm probably just here earlier than I thought. Naruto wouldn't miss a chance for ramen." Sasuke huffed and leaned against the shop.

After about twenty minutes of waiting, he gave up.

They really are a bunch of idiots. He thought.

Sasuke started walking back to his apartment where he could go back to sleep. It's either sleep or look for them, and to him, that's a no brainier. He knew that he should perhaps go searching for the assignment details by himself, but he really couldn't be bothered today.

When Sasuke was doing his usual "hands in pockets walk n' trot," he spotted a familiar solar-flare blonde.

Shit! How am I supposed to get around him? Sasuke thought. He panicked a bit and sneakily went behind a tree, to avoid interaction with the fox.

This... isn't as stealthy as I would like it to be. He thought, holding his breath.

Then, he could see Naruto turn Sasuke's direction. Mission: Get Away From the Idiot had failed. He saw Naruto smile and wave at him.

"Heya! Sasuke, come here!! I gotta show you somethin'!!" Naruto yelled. Naruto was crouching by the lake Sasuke used to practice his fireball jutsu in. It was peaceful and quiet there, and it was somewhere Sasuke would have never thought Naruto would hang around in. He slowly walked over to the brat.

Sasuke scoffed.

"Why are you here? You know this isn't idiot headquarters, right? Plus, we're supposed to head out for an assignment." He said as he had his signature sarcastic smirk on his face. Naruto frowned.

"Sasukeee... I need to show you something cool! C'mon! Follow me!" Naruto said as he skipped to the unknown destination.  Sasuke had serious thoughts of leaving before ever following him.
