Another Accidental Kiss

Sasuke couldn't believe what just happened.

Again? Fucking again with him? Sasuke thought, making sure not to look in Naruto's direction.

The blonde seemed to be walking rather quickly. Naruto must have been embarrassed, too. He had pep in his step(as usual) as he was on his way back to the village. Sasuke trailed behind him, still never looking directly at him. Naruto stopped and stared at Sasuke.

"Teme, I can't believe you didn't notice that tree root. If you ask me, it sounds like the kind of sick joke that you would play. Juuust to mess with me." He glared at the raven, though, it didn't really seem like he was that upset. It felt like he was just trying to tease Sasuke. Sasuke looked at the ground.

"Are you joking? As if that's even true! If you think that I would do that on purpose, than you're a bigger idiot than I thought you were." Sasuke exclaimed as he blushed under the curtain of his jet-black hair.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, oh-so-great Uchiha." Naruto spoke, skipping to the entrance while giggling. Sasuke was numb and confused. He knew Naruto was ignorant, but he also thought he was smarter. Did he really think that Sasuke would do something like that on purpose, or was he just teasing him for the hell of it?

Sasuke walked along back to the Leaf, and saw the team by the main exit. Naruto was laughing with Kakashi and Sakura about something. Sasuke already knew what this was about. He could barley hear the conversation, but it became more audible as Sasuke came closer.

"...and then, he tripped, and fell straight on top of me. For such a great ninja, you think he would've seen something as simple as a tree root! Man, if you ask me, it feels like it was on purpose." Naruto laughed hysterically. Sasuke's face grew sour with anger. He would quickly take his backpack off and throw it at the blonde, hitting him smack on the ass. Hard. Naruto yelped and in return, also threw his backpack at Sasuke. Sasuke caught it, and he looked prepared to throw it back.

"See?! Now he's hittin' me on my ass!" Naruto yelled, staring directly at his angry teammate.

"Stop it, both of you! I'm so sick of your fighting!" Sakura yelled, running in between the two. "You've been doing this since we were young, and I'm sick of it, I know that Kakashi-sensei is, too." She folded her arms and glared at the both of them.

"Seriously, you two, this has gone on long enough. I thought you had gotten over it, but I guess I was wrong. You're older now, and this is unacceptable." Kakashi said in a serious tone, putting one of his hands on his hips, his book in his other hand. Naruto sighed, he looked defeated by Kakashi and Sakura's words. It looked like he agreed with them.

"Anyways, you both have kissed each other so many times by accident anyways. You might as well just accept what the universe wants and get over it." Kakashi added on, one could almost hear the smile he had behind his mask. Naruto took a deep breath in.

I was too harsh on Sasuke. I went too far, but what happened made me feel confused. I think that I was acting so defensive because I was scared of what I felt. Naruto reflected, sighing. He picked up Sasuke's backpack and walked over to him. Sasuke was still holding Naruto's backpack. The blonde looked at the raven-haired boy. He looked so sour, so angry. Sasuke shoved Naruto's backpack in his chest, and yanked his own from the hands of his teammate. They stared at each other.

"I hate you." Sasuke bluntly stated, keeping his ferocious expression. Naruto held his breath and froze.

I've heard him say that before, but... this time hurt. Naruto thought in his frozen state.

Sasuke began to walk inside the village, but was stopped from Sakura grabbing his arm.

"Sasuke, we still have an assignment! Where are you going?" She questioned, keeping her grip. Sasuke slapped her hand off of him.

"Don't touch me. I hate all of you." He raised his voice slightly, but didn't look at any of them. Naruto scoffed and began to run towards him, but Kakashi stopped him.

"Let him cool off, Naruto. He'll be fine." Kakashi simply put, as they all watched Sasuke walk away. Naruto looked down at the ground and nodded.

Sasuke walked fast, then faster, until he was sprinting back to his small apartment. Tears could be seen quickly filling his eyes.

Fuck him. Fuck all of them. Why did... Just.. Why? He thought, completely hurt by what Naruto did and said.

Soon enough, he reached his apartment. He threw his backpack on the ground and collapsed onto his bed. He quietly wept in his sheets, grabbing a pillow for comfort. He held onto it tight.

"Please just let me disappear. I hate it here." Sasuke cried into his pillow, now in the fetal position on his bed. He didn't feel like moving any time soon.

After some time, Sasuke calmed down. He took a bath to relax, and changed into a pair of grey pants and a black t-shirt. He stationed himself on his couch, and decided to read a few scrolls, though he's read them a million times. There wasn't much that could properly distract him from the events that played out today. He sighed.

I shouldn't have left like that. I shouldn't have said that I hated them. That... I hated Naruto. I don't. I was just so angry about what he did. He put the scroll back and walked back to his bed. He sat there, staring at the ground, until the picture caught his eye once again.

We were... so young. Life didn't feel easy, but it was easier than it is right now. The thoughts ran through his head. He walked over to the frame and picked it up, it now being close to his face. After a second of staring at it some more, he hugged it and smiled.

To be a kid with you again. He thought.
