Everything was groggy, and Naruto's eyes had a thick layer of sleep on them. He blinked a couple of times and rubbed his eyes.

Man... I can tell that I slept good last night, I feel so relaxed. Naruto was laying on his side, facing the tents wall. He could also feel something pushed up against his back.  The thing was warm, and very comforting. He turned his head to see a head of messy black hair, and a slender body, fast asleep. Ah. That explains it. Who would've thought Sasuke's body would keep me so warm? He thought, turning his body to face Sasuke's back. Naruto put his left arm under Sasuke's, and around his body. He pushed his crotch onto the Uchiha's backside, holding him close.

So warm... he smells so good. He got lost in all of his thoughts. Naruto closed his eyes again. He was surprised that they weren't being awoken by Shikamaru or Sakura so they could go back to the village. That must mean I have more time. Let me just have five more minutes...

He then felt Sasuke's backside rubbing closer to his crotch. His eyes peeled back. He's got to be doing this in his sleep, right? Surely. Naruto felt slightly conflicted. He's sleeping. I should back off, it's weird for me to be doing this. The blonde would think, now attempting to get off of Sasuke. He began to take his arm off from around Sasuke, and back up his pelvis.

"Don't." Sasuke said in a low, groggy growl. Naruto would stop in his tracks. Sasuke began to back up his body, obviously stating that he didn't want Naruto to leave. Not just yet.

I guess... he wasn't sleeping? Naruto followed Sasuke's order. He wrapped his arm around Sasuke's body, again. Tighter, this time, since he knew that his teammate was awake.

"Good morning." Naruto quietly whispered, close to Sasuke's ear. Sasuke would shiver a little bit, at the soft voice entering his ear, but keep his eyes closed. Naruto's body felt like a weighted blanket, and he didn't want to be fully awake just yet. He would give Naruto a quiet groan in return.

"Did you sleep well last night?" The blonde asked, closing his eyes once again. He knew Sasuke probably wouldn't answer, but he was growing fond of his sleepy groans.

"Mm. Mm-hm." Sasuke would groan, along with a nod of his head. Naruto gave a quiet chuckle.

"I'm glad. We should do that again." Naruto spoke in his own low morning growl. Sasuke would also find this invigorating, and it only made him more relaxed and sleepier. Sasuke put his left hand over Naruto's arm, interlocking their fingers. Naruto let out a deep, satisfied breath.

Every morning, I want this. Every morning. Naruto would think, moving his head to kiss the nape of the raven's neck.

"Don't give me any more marks, usuratonkatchi." Sasuke softly said. Naruto's cheeks tinted pink.

"Ah... yeah, sorry about that last time." He would apologize in a higher pitched voice. They both kept their eyes closed and enjoyed the quiet moment. The the world outside them had changed. Instead of crickets, they could hear birds singing their beautiful songs. Instead of the beams of the moon, the rays of the sun seeped through the tent. The peace they felt lasted all through the night and early into the morning.

This is the most at ease I've felt in a while. I'm scared it's going to end. I know it's going to end. Nothing good ever stays, at least for me. Sasuke took a deep inhale in. He could feel the toned man behind him kiss his neck some more, with each kiss more meaningful than the last.

Sasuke turned his body around, so now they were facing each other. He was met with a smiling Naruto.

"What are you smiling about?" Sasuke uttered, narrowing his brow. He had an idea of why, but he wanted to hear Naruto say it.
