Chapter 31- Do

Jake's POV
"What? What do you mean you don't know?" I asked Andrea.

"I was separated from the group. A huge herd came by. I'm pretty sure I seen Tommy and Amy get out safely with Rick, Lori, Carl, and Sophia." She said.

"What about Daryl?" Merle spoke up.

"I think him and Carol got out together."

"Well, we're gonna take you two back to Woodbury. You'll like it there." I told Andrea. "I'm Jake by the way." I introduced myself to Andrea's new companion.

She just looked at me silently.

"That's Michonne, she doesn't talk much." Andrea told me.

I nodded and we made our way back to The Governor after looking at two walkers laying near them. They looked like they were on chains and they had bags hanging around them. Merle and I took their heads. The Governor liked to keep them as a "trophy". I assume the walkers belonged to Michonne and Andrea.

"Who are these two ladies?" The Governor asked.

"Andrea and Michonne." I told him.

"You know 'em?"

"Andrea is my sister-in-law and Michonne is her friend."

"I see."

We pretty much stayed quiet the whole ride back to Woodbury. It was almost my turn to guard again.

"Jake, you wanna show these two their room?" The Governor asked.

"Sure." I replied. "C'mon." I told the two.

"How many people are here?" Andrea asked.

"A little over seventy, about seventy five. Seventy seven if you two stay."

"Oh." Andrea mumbled.

"We're not." Michonne finally spoke up.

I nodded. "We gotta kinda be quick with this, it's well past curfew."

"Curfew?" Andrea asked.

"Keeps everyone in check." I told her. "Here we are." I showed them their room.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Andrea said.

"Isn't it? You even got hot water over there. Be sure to get some sleep, The Governor wants to talk to you two in the morning."

"Alright." Andrea mumbled before coughing viscously.

"You okay?" I asked Andrea.

"Yeah, I think I have the flu or something. I've had it for a while."

"We have a doctor, come on. We'll get you checked up."

She nodded and followed me to Woodbury's doctor, Dr. Stevens.

"Hey, doc. Thinking she has the flu, you got something to help?"

"Hey, Jake. Yeah, I'll see what I can do." Dr. Stevens told me.

"Thanks. I'll wait outside."

I waited a few minutes and Andrea came out.

"Good?" I asked.

"Yeah." She answered

"We better get you back to Michonne then.

I took her back to the room and Merle came running up to me.

"Hey Jake! You got the night off since you helped with the crash today.

"Alright." I said before heading to bed.
