A Sirius Mistake

Dumbledore's POV

I immediately apparate back to the ministry after giving Sirius the terrible news, i hate to do this to him and Harry, but i know that was best. He will be much more prepared for the future.

I arrive in the main hall of the ministry, to see Bellatrix on the floor and Tom pointing his wand at Harry. I came just in the knick of time, i can save him.

"it was foolish for you to come tonight Tom, the aurors are on their way." i project

"and by that time i shall be gone and you shall be dead" Voldemort replies,
he quickly swishes his wand over his head, and in that moment i knew it was time to duel.

i push Harry onto the floor for safety and a huge,red, jet of sparks fly towards Tom, which then met with his green.

Papers and tiles flew off the walls, missing us by inches, then all of a sudden he stops his green sparks and produces a gigantic flaming serpant, i have no idea how to confront it, i ended up slashing it with my wand, which made it go crazy and turn into a huge wall of fire, however when it died down, Harry and i were left untouched, which must of surprised Tom.

In that moment of confusion, i swipe my wand towards the fountain and trap Voldemort in a giant cocoon of water, he is swimming in a huge water ball. Trying to control the ball, i see Harry walking behind me, what is he doing?! I told him to stay down. I think. Cant quite remember. Any who i loose concentration and push Harry back on the ground to safety, and in that moment Voldemort had escaped his water trap.

He throws all the darkness from his robes at us, but with my almighty power, i shield us from the darkness he has used against us. He did not like that. Not. One. Bit. He sucked in the darkness and made it explode, shattering all the glass in the main entrance. The shards fell to the ground, but began to rise. At that moment i could see that Voldemort had controlled them to fly directly at us, i quickly use the shielding spell and turn the glass into sand. Leaving us unharmed.

Again Voldemort was muddled by the spells that had not effected me. He suddenly disapparates in a pile of sand, but that cant be the end. Voldemort wouldn't just give up, something was not right.

Suddenly, Harry gasps for air and falls to the ground, i quickly turn around to join him on the floor, i don't know whats wrong or what to do. Harrys eyes change into green, snake slits and he hisses out

"you've lost old man" and harry moans in pain, Voldemort has took over his body. Little lessons with Severus wont help him against this, but i don't know how to help.

I see Harry struggle more in pain and roll around in the sand, not in control of his body anymore. Young Hermione and Ronald run into the main hall, along with Luna, Ginny and Neville. There all looking at their brave friend fighting himself. They must feel helpless like me.

The pain and struggle dies down and out of no where Harry says

"You're the weak one. And you'll never know love. Or friendship. And i feel sorry for you"

That must of broke the possession as Harry flys on his back and a protective layer of sand cocoons the both of them. I want to burst in but i don't know what kind of magic this is.

Suddenly the aurors and Cornelius come through the fireplace and Voldemort apparates for good.

"he's back!" Exclaimed Fudge

finally he sees the truth. I grab harry and hold him. Im so sorry.

Ive twisted it so its in Dumbledores point of view so i hope you liked.
