in all the chaos around me god didn't hear my prayer, instead a demon is the one saving me from my demise

there stood infront of me was a monster, it had long sharp claws, red piercing eyes, had a body size larger than of a horse and had red scales covering it from top to bottom.
it snarled at the figures taking a defensive stance between me and the figures.
i abruptly notice its lower body was burnt and out of nature i took a few steps towards the monster.
suddenly its head snapped as it felt my presence,"shit stay calm, why am i doing this again?" i asked myself and was relived as it returned to growl at the group of figures, i pressed on the wound feeling its burnt skin but i accidentally cut myself with one of its scales.
wincing i removed my hand but before a drop of blood was absorbed by the skin of the moster as it lands on the burnt skin of the monster.
instantly it healed but what came next made me shiver in fear.
blood splattered on my body and seeing the monsters head flew out of its shoulder and slowly transforming back to its former form.
the monster was my very own butler
