Date: 24th March 2014Harry and I broke up last night. We got into this huge argument. He discovered my e-mails to you, and then started pushing me to seek professional help. Even went as far as booking me an appointment at the local GP! He's also trying to help get my grades up. School is all we ever talk about now. I'm under a constant barage of questions, for example: "One commonly observed effect of drinking is alcohol myopia. Which best describes what researchers mean when they use this phrase?" The answer? Well, isn't it obvious? It's "the tendency to allow superficial observations to have a disproportionate impact on behavior, without allowing time for more abstract, reflective thought."
I just couldn't take it anymore, you know? I know he's trying to help me, but he's coming on too strong, not giving me air to breathe. So, I broke up with him. I admit I wasn't tactful about it, there were a lot of strong curses thrown around and perhaps an insult or two, but he shouldn't have put me in this situation in the first place.
Tomorrow is your 19th birthday, so I'm having a boatload of shots of your favourite in memory of you. Have a good one.
I hope you're okay.
Love, Beth x
