3rd person's POV:

Before Yeonjun could say his confusion out loud, the two were spotted and Yeonjun heard his name being called.

"Yeonjun-hyung!"

The two turned around to see Beomgyu.

"Beomgyu! I've been looking for you!"

"Oh, you were? You seem to be having a pReTtY good time without me." the younger snickered.

"Yah!" the blonde laughed as he playfully hit Beomgyu's arm.

As the two were laughing and having fun, Soobin felt bad that Taehyun is not with them. Besides, he didn't want to come back to the conversation about him hating on popular kids when the one he hates the most is Yeonjun's friend, who seems like a nice guy.

"I'll go find Taehyun." he quietly said and left to find his friend.

"Did something happen?" Beomgyu asked, feeling as if he interrupted something.

Soobin went to the cafeteria but couldn't find the younger one there. He walked around the places in the courtyard where Taehyun could be. He wasn't there.

He was walking in the hallways and spotted a small boy collecting notes that were put in his locker.

"Hey, Taehyun," Soobin called out to Taehyun whose head looked up at hearing his name called.

"Hyung."

"We need to talk."

There was a pause between the two.

"What is it?"

"You really should stop reacting like that to Beomgyu," Soobin spoke up.

The younger scoffed. "What do you mean?"

"Really, Taehyun? I don't know the reason why you hate popular kids and all but maybe-- try acting with others as you do with me. Starting with Beomgyu."

"You've got to be kidding me. Did you go looking for me just to give me a lecture?! You're not my mom, hyung."

"I'm not lecturing! I just want you to give Beomgyu a chance! You don't even know him and just judge him for his popularity!"

"What's the deal with you and how I treat people?! It never bothered you, so why now so suddenly?!" Taehyun was starting to raise his voice. "Oh. It's that friend of Beomgyu's, isn't it? You befriended him and don't wanna stay in between." he clicked his tongue.

"Not true! I only met him yesterday. I just feel bad for those who are being judged when you don't even know them. I knew Yeonjun as a student of our school. I knew him as a 'popular kid', but he... is actually really nice if you talk to him. You of all people should know what it's like to be judged without actually knowing the person!"

Taehyun was stunned. He never saw Soobin act this way. And the point was that Soobin was right.

"If Yeonjun was nice to talk to, then I am sure Beomgyu is too."

Taehyun kept quiet with his head lowered.

"Taehyun, I don't know why you feel such hatred towards the popular kids and I'm not pushing you to tell me since it affects you this much, but I am your friend."

"I know... I just hate talking about it.. and now it's all just coming back." the younger clenched his fists.

"Just give Beomgyu a chance." Soobin looked at Taehyun with hope in his eyes as he placed his hand on the shorter's shoulder before leaving.

"Dammit!" Taehyun cursed, hitting the locker.

Taehyun's POV:

Three hours of classes went by which gave me plenty of time to calm down.

I was looking for Soobin-hyung in the cafeteria to sit together like we usually do for lunch. I spotted him at 'our' table where we always sit, eating a bun, waiting for me.

"Bread again?" I asked chuckling as I approached him.

"I'm hurt-! It's not just bread, you moron! It's a jam bun!" he decided to pull off a drama queen.

"Didn't you have it yesterday?"

That's when his dramatic ass took over his body even more as I saw his hand being placed on his chest as he let out A VERY dramatic gasp.

"No! Yesterday it was with cream!"

Told you. Dramatic.

"You're impossible..." I sighed.

"I love bread, what do you mean??" he smiled innocently and took another bite and both of us burst into laughter.

"Hey. Sorry I snapped at you there, hyung.." I apologized. "You were right. I'm sorry I never tell you what happened at my old school, it's just.. I am trying not to think of that time, and our argument just brought it back." I continued. "You're right," I repeated. "I shouldn't have judged him. I still don't like popularity, but... I will try to... approach Beomgyu....?"

I could see his stunned, shocked face. He was at a loss of words.

"Only for the sake of the project!" I added.

He was still stunned and still hasn't said anything.

"Please, say something, hyung."

"Sorry, I didn't expect you to say all that," he said. "I'm sorry too. For reminding you of that time."

"It's okay, you didn't mean to."

"So, are you gonna text him, or...?"

"He threw a note in my locker, but I threw it away with other notes, so I have no phone number."

"Actually..."

I see Soobin-hyung opening the smaller pocket of his backpack and taking the note out.

"What the-- How did you--?" I questioned.

"When you slammed your locker, the door didn't close fully. I knew you will throw it away, so when I went to close it, I took the note," he explained.

A faint "oh" escaped my mouth as I took the note.

"I'm so sorry. I know your locker is your personal space, same as mine, but... I just felt like it was important."

"Ah, it's okay, hyung. You didn't go searching through my locker, you just took the note."

"So, will you text him?"

I gripped on the paper that was in my hand.

'I'm not going down that path again.'

'Just don't open up too much.'
