Taehyun's POV:

I wanted to hide. Dig a hole in the ground and hide. What is he doing here?!

As soon as the bell rang, I rushed out of the class. I didn't care who saw me, who didn't, I just needed to get out. Why is it always that class? Why do I always have to run away from that class??

Luckily, it was my last class and I then rushed to the bus station. I didn't even wait for Soobin-hyung. I don't want him to ask what's wrong with me. He probably doesn't even have time for me anyway. He's with Yeonjun-hyung.

3rd person's POV:

Soobin waited for Taehyun at the bus station where he always waits for the younger, but the boy never arrived. After waiting for too long, he decided to text the red-haired boy in the hope to hear something from him.

Taehyun didn't know what to answer. He wanted to tell Soobin. He wanted to tell someone. But he avoided the need to tell all the details when he answered with the "yeah" which ended the conversation.

Obviously, Soobin knew something was off, but he knew that Taehyun needs time to himself. He hoped Taehyun will tell him himself. That way he won't push on his best friend.

As the bus stopped, Taehyun ran out first and rushed to his house.

He closed the door and sat on his bed, trying to collect his thoughts together and think of how things are going to be now.

His gaze went to the top shelf and he saw the framed picture.

"How am I gonna face him...?" he asked to himself as he grabbed the picture and memories flooded into his head.

The next day wasn't so bad. Taehyun acted as if yesterday never happened. And Soobin let it slide. As much as he was worried for his friend, he thought it was for the best not to bring up what happened yesterday. It probably wasn't that big of a deal.

"How's it going with Yeonjun-hyung??" Taehyun asked. "You seem to have gotten close with each other."

"Haha, yeahh. He is nice, so we've been hanging out. How does it feel to not hang out with Beomgyu?"

"Perfect! He's finally not walking around trying to find ways to approach me."

"Really?? I thought I've been seeing you happy around him, and that one time, you two even went to eat ice cream." the older punched the boy slightly in a joking manner.

"Wait what?! You saw us-??" Taehyun asked shocked.

"Not quite. Beomgyu told Yeonjun-hyung about his plans with you for that day and so, Yeonjun-hyung wanted to hang out with me that day because didn't have anything better to do." Soobin explained.

"Those-- weren't our plans-- I planned to work on a project." Taehyun kept trying his best to deny the fact that Beomgyu ever brought a smile on his face.

"Alright, let me ask you a different question then. How do you feel about Beomgyu now after you've worked some time together."

Taehyun groaned. "Nothing changed."

"You might say so, but--"

As the two kept walking, they were interrupted by some fangirl screams. But this time, it wasn't because of Taehyun who passed through the halls. Not even Beomgyu.

The screams followed a certain tall, black-haired boy who had just gotten into the school.

"Is it just me or does he seems quite familiar..?" Taehyun heard Soobin say.

"Not really. Why?" the younger tried escaping the conversation, but it didn't quite work when he and Hueningkai exchanged eye contact.

"Taehyun...?!" he heard the taller faintly. And Soobin did too. He looked at him questioningly.

"You know each other??" he asked and Taehyun immediately returned back to reality and turned around to leave, grabbing Soobin along.

"We're gonna be late for class." the younger said.

"Yeah, but our class is the other way!" Soobin said trying to stop Taehyun from dragging him.

"We can go around!"

Soobin obviously understood that there was something about the guy who seems to know Taehyun that was making him act weird. And the fact that he looked familiar wouldn't leave Soobin's head.

"I mean, at least they pay attention to the new kid and not to you. Isn't that what you wanted?" the bunny purple head said. "Wait, I know how I know that guy!!!! It's the guy from the picture, right?!?! The one on the shelf in your room??!?!"

Taehyun didn't know what to say.

"I..."

"It's him, isn't it??"

The younger sighed and held a small pause before answering. "Yeah.... yeah it's him... the guy from the picture..." "You got your answer, now can we please leave?" he started walking away but Soobin stopped him.

"Please tell me about him. I need to know. What has he done to you in the past?" the older asked worryingly.

"It wasn't him.... I just can't face him.. I'm not ready." Taehyun said and shoved his hand out of Soobin's grip. "Let's go."
