The goddess Kali (Goddess of Time, Creation, Destruction and Power) is the wife of the calm and kind god Shiva (the Supreme Lord who creates)
Kali is known for her violent outbursts and is regularly painted standing on Shiva while wearing human arms and severed heads.
One myth of Kali involves her slaying Raktabija (a demon who can clone himself from one drop of his own blood).This unusual skill made him very very hard for humans to destroy Raktabija. Kali was soon asked to defeat him.
She easily defeated Raktabija. The way Kali defeated him was by drinking his blood and eating his body and also all of his clones. She then danced uncontrollably in celebration, while she danced, she trampled the dead bodies and her own husband, Shiva.
