A Sinful Forbidden Affair

Chapter 2

     As the launching of the luxury car got nearer, the busier they got. Era's idea of launching the car at night was approved by the company. Their plan was, when the car will be announced, the car's headlights would be turned on. It would be driven at a high speed and would halt upon reaching the podium to show off the car's road off capabilities.

    It was a high-end, sport utility vehicle luxury car.

     They are having a meeting now to finalize loose ends of the said event. 

      Cocktails, liquors, drinks, and snacks would be served at the main lounge at the start of the program. Habang nasa labas ang mga bisita for the "unveiling", the main lounge of the Manila Polo Club would be changed into a more formal dining area. The program would be continued inside the venue. 

The Sales and Marketing Team would use the opportunity to create a sale while mingling with the spectators. 

     Una nilang kinokontrata ang catering company ni Vernon, but they had a prior commitment on the same night. So they commissioned Wolfgang Catering. 

       One thing their ad-agency was known for was they could provide top of the line services—which are custom fit based on their needs in a given budget. For this event, they were able to get an increase on the budget from the owner. 

        Her and Vernon's relationship was regarded as a match made in heaven. She is with the events which is part of their core services as an ad-agency, while Vernon is in the Food Services Industry.  She knew her current boss would not give her up without a fight. She got an offer from her former boss to be a co-owner of his company. The offer was quite tempting. All benefits plus co-ownership? It would be a realization of her dream of having her own business. 

"Mira, please make sure that all in the checklist are prepped and labeled."

"Yes, Ms. Era."

"How about the transportation, Dave?"

"All set po, Ms. Era."

"I will leave it all to you, then? I need to meet another client. We only have a week left for the event."

      She was about to alight her Nissan Navara, nang makita ni Era ang lalaking pilit kinalilimutan going out from the San Antonio Plaza in Forbes tangan ang isang cake.

      Hindi niya malaman ang gagawin. Would she take this chance to know him fully? and possibly continue what they had started? 

      Ngayon na nasa ganitong sitwasyon na rin din siya, hindi niya masisi ang mga taong nagtampisaw din sa init ng pakiki-apid. She wanted to try and feel alive again. Can she sacrifice her image, name, and dignity for it? 

    She is fighting the urge to go to him. Pilit niyang pina-iiral ang moralidad, at ang tama. 

    "You only live once, right? Would you let what other people say got into you? Hindi ba, deserve mo maging masaya?" 

     "Sh't! What am i thinking? It's now or never, Era!" 

     Her immediately opened the door, and closed it abruptly. She was about to run when she saw him alight his Nissan GTR and drove off. 

     Era smirked, and pathetically sighed hard. 

    "Fate might have other plans. Stop this nonsense, Era Marie! You are better than this!".

     She walked straight to her chiropractors clinic.
