Era scoffed. Napatawa siya nang bahaw. Pilit itinatago ang nararamdamang kasabikan.
"Are you nuts, Zen—Attorney Sujuico?" She smirked.
Lalagpasan niya sana ito at lalabas na ng powder room nang hawakan nito ang braso niya. Tiningnan niya ang kamay nitong nakahawak sa braso niya at buong tapang na sinalubong ang mga mata nito.

"Can you please hear me out first?" His eyes were pleading.
Napabuga siya ng hangin. "Attorney Sujui—"
"Call me Zenith."
"Zenith—"
"I love how you gorgeously speak my name."
She felt her cheeks get warm.
"Oh, you still blush?" Amusement laced on those eyes that made her shiver.
"Please, Zenith. What we had was a mistake. And I don't like repeating my mistakes."
Tila nagbabaga ang mga mata ni Zenith na nakatitig sa kaniya. "If what we had was a mistake, why does it feel so right?" Bahagya itong lumapit sa kaniya. She could smell his minty breath laced with alcohol. She felt her back was now pressed against the cold, tiled wall of the powder room.
"Attorney, what we had was a one night stand. It was a mistake kahit saan mo tingnan. May asawa ka, may nobyo ako."
Era could see his face leaning over. The next thing she knew, she was responding fiercely to his mind blowing kiss. She put her hands around his neck, mas diniin niya ang labi rito, quenching her thirst for this handsome man. As she was kissing him back, she was also running her hand through his hair.
Her legs automatically wrapped around his waist when Zenith lifted her. His warm hands were now stroking her leg, slightly squeezing it. When he started kissing the hollows of her neck, she arched it slightly, giving him more access. She gripped his hair as sensation after sensation assaulted her system when his hand went to the middle of her thighs.
His hot breath was now fanning on the valleys of her breast which was now exposed because of the low neckline of her dress. They only stopped when they heard a soft knock on the door.
"Attorney Sujuico, Era. I cannot hold off here anymore. Please stop what you're doing right now and open this damned door fast!"
That was Aoui.
Zenith's eyes bore into her while they were both panting for air. "Now, you tell me this is a mistake," he said and kissed her some more.
Dahan-dahan siya nitong ibinaba at pinakatitigan. Hinawi nito ang mga baby hair na tumakip sa kaniyang mga mata.
"Tandaan mo ito, my sweet, intoxicating Era, we are pulled towards each other. Kahit anong iwas natin, our bond is too strong to ignore." Hinapit siya nito at kinintalan ulit ng halik sa labi.
"Attorney, please." It was Aoui's voice behind the door.
"You will be mine again, Era." Binitiwan siya nito at lumabas.
Era saw the relief flooded on Aoui's face nang makita nito na lumabas na si Zenith bago sumara nang kusa ang pinto.
