Michelle saw how Era's face changed from the confident woman who entered her office into a mixture of vulnerability and trying to gain her composure back.
A smirk rose from Michelle's beautiful lips. Based on Era's reaction, it was pretty obvious that she got the upper hand in this conversation.
"Surprised that I knew it?"
She is trying not to enjoy the confused look on Era, Karapatan niya naman siguro iyon? Bilang pinaka-nasaktan sa pinag-gagawa nito at ng kanyang magaling na asawa.
But Michelle loved Era's facial reaction. The confusion was visible from her gorgeous face—the face that made her husband cheat on her and almost broke their marriage.
She felt a sting of pain while maintaining a poker face.
Michelle stood up from her chair, went in front of her glass table, leaned for a little bit, and crossed her arms on her chest.
"Oh, I am sorry, where are my manners? Where do you want to be seated?"
Still, the look on Era's face told her that she was astounded that she knew about her role in Zenith's life.

Era was heavily pregnant, and Michelle didn't want anything to happen to Zenith's baby. Hindi siya ganoon kasama like what everybody thought. She may be a cold, ruthless queen of her empire, but she is not an asshole. What people didn't know, that those who were strong like her were the most vulnerable and empathetic.
Bumawi ng tingin si Era at yumuko. Michelle sighed to control her emotions. She opted to go to her bar nook. She reached for a goblet and two cans of chilled mango juice. Inilapag niya ito sa center table, binuksan, at isinalin sa goblets.

"Are you going to convince me to leave my husband behind because he got you pregnant? and for the sake of the child?"
She looked straight into Era's eyes. Again, disbelief was written on her face. Then a little while of staring, she saw a different bicker in her eyes. Mas tumiim ang titig nito, her brown eyes turned a shade darker, nagsimulang umangat ang gilid ng labi nito at nang-uuyam.
"Is this how selfish you are, Missus Sujuico? Depriving an unborn child of the possibility of having a complete family?"
The sarcasm that laced on Era's voice astounded Michelle.
Ito pa ang may karapatang pagsalitaan siya nang ganoon? The nerve of this woman.
Michelle still managed to wear a poker face. She was trained to act properly in any given situation by her father since she was a kid. She knew how to control her emotions, what more a facial reaction?
She laughed sarcastically. "Your morality really fascinates me, Ms. Anderson. Its fu-cking funny"
