A Sinful Forbidden Affair

Chapter 7

Their relationship got better after their Japan trip. Parang bumalik noong mga panahong nagsisimula pa lamang sila. While she was finishing her makeup, Vernon hugged her from behind. He kissed her exposed shoulder and looked straight into her eyes from the mirror. She felt him making small bites on her shoulders to her earlobes. She automatically closed her eyes. The way he was looking at her now was laced with desire.

"Can we reschedule our meeting with them?" His eyes were twinkling.

Era softly laughed. "We can't, hon. This is for your people, remember?" Mahina niya itong tinapik sa pisngi. 

"I think we need to finish it early so we can have more time with each other later?"

She winked at her boyfriend. Hinimas niya ang mukha nito, hinarap, at kinintalan ng halik sa labi. "I am almost done, wait for me outside. You might ravish me here and I might give in." She heard him groan a little that made her chuckle. 

Vernon wore a light blue button-down long-sleeved polo. Inirolyo niya ang sleeves and a pair of khaki pants and loafers. She was wearing a light blue, cotton mini dress with puff sleeves and nude flat pumps. She grabbed her purse, put a little perfume, and let her hair down. 

They left two hours prior to the meeting with the Ballesteros in their home in Ayala, Alabang. Vernon chose to use his Mustang para mas mabilis silang makarating. 

Vernon pulled up in a modern-contemporary glass mansion.  Like he always does, Vernon opened her side and immediately intertwined their hands. Napapikit siya when he kissed her forehead. 

Little did they know, there was a pair of eyes that could see them from the second floor. Nakiusap sa kaniya ang kaibigan na kung maaari ay huwag nang bumaba. He visited them unannounced, malay naman niya na may kikitain ang mag-asawa.

Era and Vernon were giggling with each other while walking towards the main door.  Hindi nila namalayan na may dalawang pares na pala ng mga mata ang nakamasid sa kanila. Their future partners, Mr. and Mrs. Ballesteros.

"Hi!" nahihiyang bati ni Era.

She saw a beautiful woman, beside her was her equally gorgeous husband na nakaakbay rito. It was evident from their faces that they were happily married. The blissful glow was radiating and it was contagious. Hindi nila mapigilan ni Vernon na mapangiti sa mga ito, the Ballesteros couple.

Lumapit na silang magnobyo sa mag-asawa. Binati ni Vernon ang mag-asawa at nakipagkamay. "Hi, Steph and Lex! By the way, this is my future wife, Era Marie Anderson."

"It is my pleasure to meet you!" Nakipagkamay si Era kay Alexis. Nang makikipagbeso na siya sa asawa nito ay bigla siyang niyakap. Era was caught off guard. 

"Oh! I am so happy to finally meet you, Era!" sabi nito habang mahigpit siyang hawak. She saw Steph's husband grin. 

"Pasensya ka na, ha, hindi pa kasi nakakainom ng gamot niya 'yan. Don't worry, harmless 'yan," ani Alexis. 

Narinig niya ang malakas na tawa ng mister nito at mahinang pagtawa ni Vernon. Binitiwan siya ni Steph at hinampas nang malakas sa braso ang asawa. 

"You brute! Sa labas ka matulog mamaya!" Pinaningkitan nito ang asawa.

"Sweetheart—"

"Sweetheart your face."

Hinatak si Era ni Steph papasok sa bahay nito. The wood accents made their modern house homey. It was not like any mansion with fancy vases and paintings. Kitang-kita na simpleng tao ang mga nakatira.

Era and Steph were almost on the same height, around five feet and eight inches tall. While Steph was a Chinese mestiza beauty, Era had the Caucasian-Asian features. Alexis was a tall, dark, and handsome kind of guy, Vernon was on the fair side with Spanish features. Hindi ito ganoon kaputi, but hindi rin kayumanggi. He had deep, seated eyes with thick eyelashes and thick brows; defined jaws, upturned nose, and rosy lips.
