Hardin:
Month later, Tuesday.
Today we fly over to London for the week to visit my mum. Our suitcases have practically been packed since Saturday since Tessa being Tessa she had to be prepared. So even though our flight is quarter past 3, the suitcase is packed and so is our hand luggage Tess still wakes me up early this morning. Tess has gone round the apartment multiple times cleaning up, making sure things are switched off and also making sure we haven't forgotten anything.
I'm sitting on the sofa staying out of her way like she asked but I can see she is getting out of hand and needs to chill. "Tessa come here" I say to her as she is over at the desk. "No Hardin I'm not done" she argues back. But I'm not taking no for an answer so I get up, go over to her and wrap my arms around her. "Tess baby you need to chill. The apartment is fine and so is everything else so please stop and calm it" I tell her and she lets out a breath and turns around to face me.
"Thank you" she tells me and I give her a kiss on the lips. "No need to thank me baby, just stay calm is all I ask" I beg her. "Okay I promise" she nods.
"So I booked the taxi earlier and it will be here in an hour so we have time to have lunch before we head to the airport and we can get snacks at the airport for the plane" I inform her. "Perfect, thank you Hardin" she thanked me.
So we have our lunch then get our suitcase and hand luggage and head out of the apartment and down to the taxi that is waiting for us. It's quite a quick drive to the airport surprisingly so it gives us more time to chill and for Tess to not be checking everything again.
We get to the airport, check in out bags and then go through security which didn't take long until I got buzzed walking through so I had to be searched which Tess found amusing. We get our stuff back and walk through and look for our gate. Once we find our gate, it's not open yet so we have plenty of time to go to the shop and get snacks. We end up getting meal deals, a couple packets of sweets, ice lattes, large bottles of water and chewing gum.
We head back to our gate and the doors open just as we got there so we join the queue. We show our passes and passports and then go through the doors. Tessa then starts to get excited like a child. "Tessa, it's a plane, calm it woman" I jokingly say to her and she blushes. "I haven't been on a plane before so don't judge my excitement" she tells me off. "I learn something new about you often my love, you didn't tell me this was your first time on a plane" I say to her. "Yeh never been out of America actually" she informs me. "Well I'm glad I get to experience a first with you" I tell her.
We board the plane and we are at the back like right at the back the second row from the back. Tess takes her seat at the window whilst I put our bags above in the luggage holder, taking out the pack of chewing gum before taking me seat next to Tess. We get comfortable and wait for take off.
A few minutes later and we have our safety instructions shown to us before then being told to have our seatbelts on which we already did. I realise that surprisingly we don't have someone next to us on our row which is unusual but good cause it means it will just be the two of us and no one else which is good cause in my past experiences I normally get at least one annoying person on my row.
We are very near to take off and I see Tess fidgeting with her rings which I know means she is anxious about something. "What's wrong?" I ask her taking her hands in mine. "Well I haven't flown before, I'm a little anxious" she admits to me. "Oh okay well don't worry I'm here and I've done this many times so you'll be okay" I reassure her and she gives me a nod. I bring her hand up and give her a gentle kiss and she gives me a smile in appreciation.
