Chapter 21:

*Cris' POV*

6:50 A.M.

I've been staring in my full body mirror for about twenty minutes. It's Monday and a school day, so I'm not really excited to go back, like at all. The past few weeks with Luke and everyone else had been great but going back to school is just so frustrating. I don't think I can go back into the place were I would get bullied by people I once thought were my friends.

I had on a long burgundy cardigan, under it I was wearing a black velvet crop top and I had some washed out jeans on. My black combat boots complimented my outfit perfectly. My hair was in nice loose curls, and my make up was in a simple natural way, some eyeliner mascara and red lipstick. I felt pretty but I know once I stepped into the hallways of high school, or as I call it "hell", that feeling will fade away completely.

I'm shit scared.

"Cris! Luke's here!" My brother Steve yelled from the living room.
"Coming!" I took one last glance into the mirror and made my way downstairs.

I was met by my mom and younger brothers,

"Morning guys, well I'll see you all later."

I rushed out without another word. Luke was standing against the hood of his truck. He had on some tight skinny jeans, this time they had no hole on his knee . He wore a nice white t- shirt , fitting his muscular body perfectly.

"Hey beautiful." He grinned and reached over to kiss me gently on the lips. I kissed back and smiled within the kiss.

Luke made his way towards the passenger side to open my door and I hopped in. He then made his way towards the driver seat and jumped in.

"Ready?"
"Uh yeah..."
"It's gonna be fine Cris, trust me", his right hand reached for my left hand and he gave it a reassuring squeeze. I smiled at him and he began to drive his way to school.

We made it to school about 20 minutes earlier. Luke and I sat on a bench and just began to be a cute cuddly couple.

"Hey guys." I turned towards the accent voice and saw Calum walking towards us with Ashton, Michael , Tom, and Dani. Dani was standing next to Ashton of course.

"Hey." Luke replied back.
"School! Isn't that exciting ." Michael spoke in a monotone voice.

We all just laughed or groaned . None of we're excited because we were all lazy, well that wasn't my reason.

After some small talk with everyone else the bell had rang signaling for everyone to get to class.

I kissed Luke goodbye and told the others I'd see them. Dani, Tom , and I walked together considering we have the same classes.

The halls were swarmed with crazy sweaty hormonal teens trying to get to their first period. People were screaming in joy seeing there friends and some would jump on their best friends . There were even couples eating eachothers faces off. Ewww.

Dani, Tom, and I finally made it to our first period. We sat in our usual spots . This period was US History so it wasn't so hard or anything.

Our teacher had came in and began to talk about the Great Depression and the causes and effects. I completely zoned out after 10 minutes of hearing people suffering in the US.

*Its Lunch time now RING*

Dani , Tom and I made our way to our usual lunch table. It was far from the cafeteria and by a nice big tree. It was calming to be here, away from the chaotic lunchroom.

I was eating a chicken salad while Dani and Tom ate the schools lunch: a nasty burger.

After a couple minutes Luke and his friends came to our table. I smiled and waved at them.

"Heeyyyyy guuuyyyss!" Mikey ran and jumped on the table.
"Hey monkey man." I said while laughing my ass off.

Mikey then began to actually act like a monkey while standing on the table.

"Excuse me sir, get of that table now!" One of the staff yelled to Michael.

"Oh shit , uh sorry sir." He then jumped off and sat by the tree and began to play on his phone.

"Ugh babe, let's just drop out of school!" Luke wrapped his arms around my waist and spoke into my ear.
"Yeah and we'll live off of our stripper money."
"Totally , I'll go work at club Deja Vu. My stripper name will be sparkles." I began to laugh at Luke's crazy idea.
"You're something else Hemmings." I turned towards him and kissed his lips.

"Hey Luke, so I got a call from that club in Downtown. Uh Pure? Well yeah they called to see if we were still interested in performing there?" Ashton interrupted .
"Wow! Really? They called!? Dude this is huge . Do you say yes or anything?" Luke let go of me and jumped up in excitement.
"Well I said that I'd give them a call back by today."
"Well call them right now and tell them we said hell yeah!"
"Okay okay"

Ashton went on his phone and dialed a number rapidly. He waited for a couple minutes and finally spoke,
"Hello? Hi it's Ashton Irwin, from the 5 Seconds of Summer band. Yes. You could earlier to offer us a gig on Friday night? Yes. Yes we ,really ! OMG thank you thank you! Yeah I'll tell the band. See you Friday night as well sir."

Luke and I were quite until he fully hung up.

"Woooooo" everyone began to cheer even Dani, Tom , and I.

"Okay , so um I know you guys sing and stuff but I didn't know you were all an actual band?" I finally asked
"Oh yeah, with everything I sort of forgot to tell you that we are an actual band and we have our songs." Luke answered.
"Wow, that's awesome! " I finally began to understand everything .

The ending of lunch was signaled by the bell. Dani and Ashton walked together while Luke and I walked to our class together.

"So , babe , can you go see us on Friday?"
"Of course Lukey."
"Good I need you there."
"I'll always be there for you."

I then leaned in and he did as well , his lips softly meeting mine. Finally our mouths connecting in a sweet passionate kiss.

*A/N: okay so the guys are gonna
be a band in this story! Will it hurt or help Cris and Luke's relationship? Who knows lol? (That sounded like a commercial for a soap opera) So the next chapter there might be some new characters ...
