HINATA

As Kageyama lays asleep on the floor beside me, I stare at the dark ceiling, the words he said to me just moments before repeating in my mind over and over and over again.

Damn it!

Why is so hard to just...Not forgive him?

But I remember what he said to me. He told me exactly what was going through his head at that time.

How someone let him down in the past. How he thought I was going to do the same.

I don't know why he acted out in that way. I haven't even known Kageyama for that long. But what I do know is that saying those words to me must have taken a lot out of him.

So that's why I think...

I can forgive him. No. I have to forgive him.

Because there are plenty of reasons, even ones beyond Kageyama, that I need to help restore what's broken.

KAGEYAMA

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping, and bright light shining down on my face from the open window.

Oh. That's right. I'm at Hinata's.

I sit up in my spot on the ground. I rub my back, only now feeling the stiffness and discomfort from last night's rest on the hard wooded floors.

Shit. Isn't it Friday? What time is it?

My eyes search the room, Hinata nowhere to be found. Looking up at the clock, I see that it's already 10:30.

I'm about to get up from the floor when I see Hinata sauntering in.

It's silent for a moment, as I stare up at him and as he registers the fact that I am now awake.

He yawns and rubs his eyes. I look him up and down.

He wears a T-Shirt that looks way too big for him and a pair of boxers.

...

He needs new pajamas.

I immediately look away, my face becoming progressively warm.

"Up already?" Hinata sighs as he speaks in a sarcastic tone.

"...Shut up."

He laughs, wandering to his closet in the far corner of his bedroom.

I haven't heard him laugh in a while.

It's nice.

I really do hope we're okay.

I stand up, stretching my arms and legs.

"We have to go to school."

He looks up at me. "I know. My mom can drive us on the way to Natsu's daycare, so she said it's okay if we slept in a bit. While...I didn't sleep in."

"Why didn't you wake me up? We missed first and second period."

"You looked...Tired. Peaceful. I didn't want to wake you."

He grabs his uniform then walks to the door again. "My mom washed your blazer."

"Oh. Thanks--I-I mean-- Tell her I said--"

He laughs again before walking into the hallway. "I will."

As he walks into another room he calls out, "Wash up or something! You smell."

I scoff as I grab my socks from yesterday off the floor.
