Chapter 4: Not Fair
•)Alex's POV(•
Beep!
Beep!
Beep!
Shit.
Time to wake up.
I don't get it, why can't school be in the afternoon or even at night? Like, we won't fall asleep in classes and will most likely do 99% better on tests and work when we aren't just dreaming of more food and more sleep. And we won't be crying inside for depriving us of both things. Or maybe that's just me.
I rolled out of bed, still wrapped in all my blankets and comforter, so I literally rolled out of bed.
Then plopped onto the ground like a coconut, but it's the effort that counts, right? Groaning, I stood up and untangled myself from the cocoon I was sporting about two seconds ago.
Hello, new fashion trend. It's called 'I look like a girl who just got attacked by a pigeon while doing the deed, not to mention these crazy dark spots under my eyes that make me look like I was part of an international bull fight but lost miserably'.
Get on my level.
I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, (tried to) comb my hair, and soon I was picking out my outfit for the day.
No, really, I just took the first things I found and threw them on. Leather shorts with studs, a light purple tank top and some Keds, not bad.
You may be wondering why I'm so crabby today. Well, not only did I just start my monthly, but also, I spent hours last night trying to contact my asshole father, to no resolve and, I had a history paper on the Cold War (seriously? Who even knows what that is?) and it took me the rest of the night to finish that. For the maybe ten minutes of shut eye that I got, I wasted trying to get a comfortable position.
Life really was not fair.
I checked the time, seeing that I was already late, and going to be later.
Double shit.
I ran down the stairs with my bag and yelled a quick, "I'm leaving, Lucy, love you!" And then I was gone.
I jumped into my jeep and rolled down the road, just to get into traffic.
Let me clear this up: There is never traffic. How is this even possible?!
Today really just isn't my day.
I arrived in the parking lot about 30 minutes late. My teacher is going to have my head.
I ran into the school building, trying to remember where first period was located. Or maybe I should just go to second...
Great idea Alex.
I decided to just skip the rest of first and just take my time and go to second period.
While I was walking to my locker, I bumped into a certain someone. And by bumped, I mean he just stumbled up to me and fell on me.
"Ok, what the heck is your problem?" I asked rudely, then pushed him off of me.
"My problem is that you have a problem to my problem and problems are overrated." Logan slurred while looking at me, eyes glazed over.
"Ok, well that made no sense at all. Are you drunk?" I looked at him incredulously.
"What's wrong with that?" He asked, all of a sudden looking confused, then mad.
