Chapter 6: Not Going Anywhere
•)Alex's POV(•
"Ok, what in the world was I thinking when I let you drive?" I said, when will we ever stop driving? "By now, we should be entering South America."
"Because I'm a great driver, and for all you know, we are in South America." Logan answered.
"No, we are lost. Just admit it." I looked around, and I was pretty sure that I was right. Trees stretched high above us in every direction, and the road we were driving on wasn't even a road. It was literally a dirt path.
"We are, in fact, not lost. I know exactly where we are." He looked at me reassuringly. No, more like 'I am right and you are wrong, period'.
"Yeah well where is that exactly?" I looked at him suspiciously. We hit a bump and swerved to the side. "Watch the road!"
"Fuck!" He swore, and swirved back onto the 'road'. I swear to god, if I die today, I'm going to come back to life and run this guy over three times with a pick up truck.
"We are going to die, Logan, we are going to get stuck here in the middle of nowhere and die." I was just hysterical now. When we almost crashed, I, in fact did not see my life flash before my eyes. What I really saw was a forest, the windshield wipers (why were they on?!) and an idiot.
It was getting really dark now, the whole day passed without me even realizing. Just then, it started raining. So that's why they were on. Not just that sprinkling bullcrap, no apparently that's not possible in Califonia. It was full out pouring and we were driving in the middle of it in a dirt road in the middle of freaking nowhere.
Then all of a sudden we jerked to a stop. Logan kept revving the engine but we weren't moving.
Something was definitely wrong."What did you do? Why are we stopping in the middle of a dark forest? I swear to god if this is the destination you were talking about-" I was cut off by yours truly.
"No, it's not the place obviously, but I think we're stuck in the dirt that turning into mud when it started storming." He signed unbuckling himself.
"Great! Just fantastic! Now we're stuck," I let out a hysterical laugh. "It's just amazing how you basically stole my car, drove us probably hundreds of miles, then got us freaking stuck! Hey, where are you going?" Logan was now climbing out of the Jeep. who knows what's going on in that messed up mind of his.
"Well obviously I'm trying to see where we are, if you can't tell, it's pitch black out here, and see, if I don't go see if I can get the car unstuck, you will probably never see your family again." Family. What family do I really have left? I swallowed my sadness and gave him a flat look.
He rolled his eyes at me and went to the back and started pushing. We probably moved about half an inch before he stopped an let out a string of curses that would put Eminem to shame.
"Wow, macho man, you really are workin' those muscles." I scoffed, teasing him.
"Well I'd like to see you try. Unless you're too afraid to get a little dirt on your shoes." He grunted as he gave another push.
Stereotypical ass.
"Fine, just to show that I'm stronger than you." Now he scoffed.
"You probably couldn't even push a toy car." I gave him a death glare and jumped out of the window, landing in a sticky, pile of mud. As I got poured on, and splattered with brown crap, I realized that I now look like a homeless person.
