Revealed at last

Part 6

I trudge out of the alley and towards the bakery. I can't help but smile.

Adrien asked me out!

Well technically it's not a date, but still.

My parents hear me enter and rush to greet me.

I tell them about my night and how all my friends and I had fun, leaving aside the details about me and Adrien and the alcohol. My dad sweeps me into a hug and my mom rushes off to get some food, mumbling about how I must be starving.

We walk upstairs to our apartment together. These moments with my parents are rare, I am always busy these days. They seem to be just as happy spending time with their daughter.

"Here you go Marinette," my mom says as she hands me a croissant. "Now go take a shower and wash off and get some sleep."

I mumble a response and climb up to my room.

I take a long hot shower and change into leggings and a oversized sweater.

I sit on my bed and scroll through my phone. Tikki comes out of my purse.

"Tikki!" I yelp in surprise, "you scared me!"

She laughs and floats to sit across from me, on one of my pillows.

"Marinette! Did you have fun?"

I sign, "that was the most fun I've had in a while."

Tikki notices the look on my face, "Marinette," she says uncertainly.

"I know Tikki."

"If Master Fu finds out or even Hawk Moth, your safety and Chat Noirs could be in danger."

"But Tikki, we were gonna find out eventually anyway, and besides we're both happy to know now." I turn to her and she gives me serious look, I sigh, "we will have to go explain to Mater Fu."

Tikki is about to respond when my phone buzzes. I pick it up and frown. Unknown number.

Unknown Number

             Hey Bugaboo

I stared at the phone for a moment and immediately realized who the number belonged too. I came to a decision and replied:

                      How did you get this number?

         Not even happy to see me :(

                     Always a pleasure Chat. I assume you got it from Alya

         You know me too well ;) Anyway I will pick you up at 7 on Tuesday after my pawtrol

                    Haha, I thought the puns would stop now ;)

        I am in disbelief! They will never stop!!

I laugh to myself and shake my head. I am about to reply when a facetime from Alya appears.

Alya

     "Hey girl!!!" Alya waves at me through the screen enthusiastically.

           "Hey Alya! I have so much to tell you!"

   " Wait, me first!" She responds holding up a finger.

I pout in protest but she only laughs.

    "After you guys left, Nino kissed me! Then he asked me out!! Ahhh Mari, I'm so excited!"

           "Alya! That's great!! I can't believe he kissed you! How was it? When is your date?"

   "We haven't schedule it yet, but hopefully soon! "
