chapter 1

Remus John Lupin, 11 years old knew more about life than most elders, he knew that you couldn't trust people, not even your family, he knew that no one owed him a happy life and he knew pain. He knew pain too well. When Remus was five, he was bitten by a werewolf, and eventually became one. His parents, Lyall and Hope did everything they could to take care of him, but on his ninth birthday, his father killed himself. Remus didn't know why did he do it, he wasn't sure if it was because of the guilt or because he was ashamed of what his son became and honestly thinking about it only gave Remus pain, so he tried not to.

He grew up in a cottage with his mother. Hope always loved her son, she loved him so very much, but raising a wizard/werewolf when you're a muggle and just widowed is difficult. Above all, everything her son did reminded her of her husband.

-Remus, can I come in? Said Hope while opening her sons bedroom door

A very old men was standing next to Hope, he had a large silver beard and a big smile.

-Hello Remus, my name is Albus Dumbledore, nice to meet you.

Remus already knew he was a wizard but what he didn't know is that he could go to Hogwarts.

Hope doesn't know anything about that but, before dying Lyall used to tell his son horrible things.

-Remus, Remus wake up! Yelled Lyall

-Daddy!

-Right 'daddy', are you okay? Asked Lyall

-I think I've got a 'bobo' on my arm and my back... daddy everything hurts, please make it stop. Said the little boy with tears running down his cheeks.

-I'm going to fetch your mother. Replied his father awkwardly

-Daddy stay with me please. I don't want mummy to see me, she's going to cry again. I don't want to hurt her

-But you already do Remus, no matter what you do you will always hurt her...you will always hurt me.

-But, why, whispered Remus

-Because you're a werewolf for fuck's sake. I hate werewolves, I hate them so much, and here you are, my son, my own flesh and blood, a werewolf. You were supposed to become a talented wizard, go to Hogwarts, to be placed into Ravenclaw, to follow my footsteps, work at the ministry, but now you can't do any of that...And you're making your mother cry, you're making me cry. Honestly Remus I don't think I can do this anymore.

-Dadd-

-Stop! Stop calling me 'daddy', I'm not your 'daddy.' I don't want to be your 'daddy' anymore. I...I hate you so much, you disgust me do you hear me. You're not worthy of love, you're not worthy of anything.

-I'm sorry da-...I'm sorry sir. I didn't do it on purpose, I don't want to hurt you or mummy. I swear I tried to fight it but I couldn't. The monster doesn't want to go away, it keeps coming back no matter how hard I try to push it, and...sir, the monster it hurts me not just you and mummy but it hurts me so much. Every time it comes back it tears my body and soul apart.

-How dare you boy, you don't know the pain that you're causing me. How dare you trying to place yourself as the victim. You're just a filthy half-breed, you're an abomination Remus, and never will be more than that. You are and always will be a monster no matter how hard you try to escape it. Every time you're going to try to shove it inside of you, it's going to come back stronger, every time you're going to try to fight it, it's only going to come crawling back. You are nothing Remus, just a fucking piece of shit.

Maybe it was because that happened just after a full moon but at that exact same moment something broke inside of Remus, and he knew that a part of him will never be the same ever again. He knew. Remus knew that he was a monster, and because of these harsh words from his own father, Remus started to hate himself, he started to hated everything about himself, his body, his face, his scars, and mainly the fucking monster that he was. "You're an abomination Remus." "You are nothing." "Piece of shit." "Monster."
