I had just finished up at shield as I saw my clicker light up. I checked to see Steve's name across the little screen. I hurried out and to my car going a little over the speed limit to get back to the tower.

I practically sprinted up to our living quarters and was met with a worried Steve. "I've lost my shield" he immediately said. "Ok uh, the last place you saw it?" I asked and I realised it was a dumb question he's probably already looked everywhere and this seemed a little odd I mean he's a responsible man how do you lose something as big as a shield.

"Can you check the lab?" he asked, "uh yeah I can do that?" I said unsure, I mean he could've looked there himself. I hurried down to the lab and was greeted by Tony. "Hi," he whispered. "Hi," I said confused "I'm wondering if you've seen Steve's shield," I asked trying to peek behind him, he blocked my view and I frowned.

"He has his shield don't worry" Tony reassured. "Then why did he-" I started but I was cut off. "I asked him too I know you would've been here in minutes if you thought someone needed help" Tony explained.

He grabbed me by arm leading me into the lab towards the back. I gasped at the sight in front of me. There was a small table set up with some food and candles with two chairs. It looked a little odd in the lab making me laugh but it fit his style.

He pulled my chair out for me and I sat down thanking him. "You could've at least let me get changed," I said "you look perfect" he smiled.

I looked at the food on our plates and I could tell straight away that Wanda or Bruce had made it because from what I know Tony can not cook.

"So is this a date or something," I asked "yes you can say that" the billionaire smirked. "I know you've mentioned before you like when people put in thought and effort," he said. "This here" he gestured around the lab "is my type of place for a date somewhere I'm comfortable and a place I know you wouldn't mind" he grinned I smiled knowing he was so observant.

Maybe what I had said before was wrong. The 'date' was great. Tony was witty and charming probably from experience. I just had to make sure he actually liked me, he's been around many women and if this didn't go well then I risked losing a job I loved dearly.

Tony's thoughts throughout the whole dinner were happy. He knew this girl was special. She didn't throw herself at him the minute he showed a liking. It seemed sincere and genuine.
