Chapter 13

Ashley's POV

.

I got up and checked iTunes. It was the first day that my single came out. I checked it almost every minute. My parents got worried about be since I wasn't really talking, just checking iTunes. I need to know what people think of it. So, I kept checking it.

Catarina came over. But I didn't pay much attention to her.

"Hellooooooo? You know I'm here, right? Am I invisible?" Catarina asked.

I looked up, but didn't answer her. I just kept checking iTunes.

"You're single will do fine you're already #43 on the charts. And it's been out for what 3 hours? You're going to do fine." She said

I looked at her, knowing she was right. By the way it's been out for 7 hours not 3. But I couldn't help it. I need to know how many people buy it a minute. I need to know if they stop buying.

Catarina got out her phone. She called someone,

"Ya Niall. You need to get down here."

Niall said something on the other end.

"Because you're girlfriend is going insane!"

He said something else.

"Okay, bye." Catarina said

I looked at her the whole conversation, I forgot about iTunes for a minute. But as soon as she was done I kept checking it. Catarina just stared at me while I kept refreshing it. I heard the doorbell ring. I heard my mom answer the door,

"Hello Niall. They're just in her room."

"Thanks Mrs. Holden." Niall said

He ran up to my room. He opened my door and ran in and hugged me. Before I met him that's all I wanted in life, a Horan hug. But right now I barely noticed him.

"Hello love." He said waving his hands in front of my face.

I looked up, "Hi Niall."

"Wow! That's the first thing she's said all day! You work like magic Niall!" Catarina said

I stared at her, looked back down at my phone. It was now #39!

"This is serious." Niall said

"Yep. She hasn't talked all day! When she just said hi to you that was the first thing she said." Catarina said

"Hello? Love?" Niall said.

I leaned forward and pecked my lips. That seemed to wake me up. I kissed him back.

"Put down the phone and let's go for a walk." Niall whispered.

I checked what number it was one more time (still #39) and put down my phone. We walked down to the beach. It was a hot summer day. Perfect for the beach. I had an idea.

"Hey do you want to have a small beach party today?" I asked

"Sure. Who do you want to come?" Niall asked

"Just the guys, Annabelle, Lucy, Catarina, and Hannah." I said

"That sounds great. I'll tell the lads. You tell Catarina and Hannah. Lets say 2:30." Niall said

"Ya that'll give us enough time to get ready and maybe bring some snacks down." I said

"Okay I'm going to go back to my house. I'll tell the lads." Niall said

"Okay I'll meet you at you're house at 2 so we can set up." I said

"I'll see you then." Niall said.

We split up. Catarina and Hannah are okay at volleyball. This is my sport. Lets see if the pop stars can handle some "friendly" competition.

Niall's POV

.

I told the lads about the party. None of them had plans so they agreed to come. I'm just happy that Ashley is going to take a break form her phone to get out into the sun. God it's hot out today.

Ashely arrived at 2 like she said she would. Her song is now #29 on the charts! She's very proud of herself. We set up a table right next to a volleyball net.

Everyone arrived on time. We all started to play a volleyball game. The lads and I against Ashley, Catarina, Hannah, Annabelle, and Lucy. Lets see how embarrassing this gets.

We got the serve first. Which Louis failed to serve over the net.

"You do know the objective is to get it over the net right?" Catarina teased.

Then Ashley started to serve the ball. God! I didn't know a ball could go that fast! It Harry on the stomach. Harry fell to his knees. All the girls fell to the ground laughing. She served it again. This time it hit Louis of his leg. Which caused him to trip and fall over. This time everyone laughed.

"It's not funny!" Louis whined with a mouth full of sand. It just made us laugh even harder.

"I'll do a nice easy serve." Ashely said.

She served the ball really easily and slow. I hit it over the net! Then Hannah passed it to Catarina, who set Ashely, and Ashley took the hardest swing at us! I think she was trying to kill us!

By the end of the game it was 15-2 the girls winning. All the lads, including myself, fell over once in the game. Either if it was one of them serving at us or us tripping over the line trying to chase the ball(which would have been me) we all fell.

"Okay that's enough embarrassment for today. I'm going to go surfing." Louis stated.

Catarina went along with him and so did Liam and Annabelle. They all knew how to surf. Zayn, Hannah, Lucy, Harry, Ashley, and I cannot surf. We staid on the sand chatting a little bit.

A finally got tired of sitting around. I was burning! It was like 90 degrees out! I looked over noticing that Ashley was on her phone again. I got up and picked her up like I did at the pool, she kicked and shoved. I grabbed her phone out of her hand plopped it on her towel and I jumped into the water.

It was cold! It felt really good, but I was shivering and so was Ashley.

"It's not like Hawaii! The water is not going to be warm right away!" Ashely exclaimed.

"Do you guys need a lift?" Catarina asked us.

Ashley got out of the water and sat on Catarina's surfboard.

"You guys should learn! It's really fun!" Catarina said

"No way not after what happened that day." Ashely said.

"You should!" Catarina said.

"Not after what happened to my brother!" Ashley said.
