“Gabriel! Gabriel!” April yelled as she approached Andrew and Jason. “Where the hell is Gabriel?” She asks furiously.Without hesitation, they pointed at Gabriel’s direction.“Damn you Gab!” She screamed as she approached Gabriel, attracting much attention to her heavily stamping feet.
Gabriel looked around, observing the eyes on him. And just at that moment, his eyes caught Emy's clueless stare whilst standing in front of her locker.
“Who told you that you can just break up with me? Huh!” April yelled above her voice.
“Shut up woman,” Gabriel interrupted grimly. “Don't embarrass me like this again. We are over.” Gab concluded harshly, mumbling angry words underneath his voice as he stormed out.
April stood speechless. Stunned, as her eyes followed after Gabriel.
Jason and Andrew instantly join Gabriel, walking with him out of the hall way.
“Arrgh!!!” April screamed. She could feel her pride shredding.“You say I'm embarrassing you? Huh? Well guess what, you are a complete piece of shit!” She yelled even harder.
She rolled her eyes over the hallway and found the entire school laughing at her. She adjusted her shoulders, held her head high and smiled like nothing happened.
She walked down to Emy who on the other hand, was trying to avoid April's trouble. Emy attempted walking away but, it was too late, April had caught up with her before she could take a step.
“You Rat.” April said, drowning in rage, seasoned with jealousy and contempt for Emy.
Emy exhaled deeply “Careful April.” She warned.
“You think you've won? Well, just so you know, Gabriel will never love you.” sizing up Emy from head to toe, “Arrgh.....!!!” She yelled again and then, walked out.
“Wooa, where's all that hate coming from?” Mary spoke, approached her friend with a pile of books in hand. “I never knew you both where in a competition.” she bantered while Emy helped her to open her locker.
“Thank you.” Mary said, putting her books in.
“I'm in no competition with anyone. My price is bigger than she.” Emy replied.
Mary locked her locker. “Of course.”
“I only feel for April.” Emy continues.
“Why?” Mary asked surprised.
“Cause, she's not taking the breakup too well.” Emy replied, shaking her head.
“Well that's not your headache.” Mary pointed out, smiling. “Come let hit the library, I have some books I want to check out.” She dragged Emy by the hand and led her forcefully out of the hallway.
“I was supposed to meet Gab at the library today.” She thought, remembering they both had to go over that symbol Gabriel drew. “OK, OK!” Emy laughed, following her friend. Just as they were close to the library, Emy pulled out her phone and dropped a text message to Gabriel. “Meet me at the library in 10.” She typed.
A few seconds later she heard a beep on her phone. She looked down and saw Gabriel's reply. She clicked open the message icon and read. “Can’t make it today, I’m sorry. There’s something I gotta do. Rain-check?”
"Damn!" She cursed loud. Realizing she had attracted Mary's attention, she shook her head signaling that nothing was wrong. Then, she placed her gaze on her phone, working her fingers on her phone screen replying “Ok, talk to you later.”
