Clarissa's POV
'Kesdaya, what are you thinking?'
I smiled up at him before shrugging and leaning closer, 'I'm thinking about you.' I whispered blushing.
'Why think about me when I'm right in front of you.' I giggled as he pulled me into his arms and I asked, 'Where did you learn to say such sweet stuff?'
His cold eyes glimmered, 'It comes naturally with you.'
My cheeks reddened at his answer and I pushed him away playfully but he pulled me back to him and my breath hitched in my throat.
'Kesdaya,' he whispered softly and I shivered under his touch as his hand caressed my cheek gently. His warm breath fanned my neck as he inched closer to my ear and whispered, 'Because of you they found me.'
A cold chill went down my spine at his heavy words and I immediately looked at him shocked and frightened.
His face which was beaming with love until now was quickly darkening with malice and grudge.
'What-?' I gasped when he grabbed me roughly. His eyes were burning with hatred as he expressed again malevolently, 'I hate you.'
My heart pounded heavily at his words. I shook my head and opened my mouth to explain but he pushed me away coldly before turning around and leaving. He didn't look back even once. His hatred, disgust, malice, everything hit me all at once and I lost my breath. His shoes made loud noises on the floor and even though I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and run after him, my body stayed paralysed.
I could only watch him leave while tears cascaded down my eyes in a stream.
Theodore...
"Don't go!" I yelled loudly as I got up and looked around frantically for him. My body drenched in sweat and my heartbeat high.
"Theodore!" I yelled again while running around the house looking for him but he was nowhere to be found. There was not even a scent of his.
"Theodore..." I called in a weak, desperate voice. My eyes burned to see him but he never appeared before me. My body slid down on the cold floor and I held my head tightly before closing my eyes. My body shook terribly and I tried to pull myself together.
After a long time when I had calmed down, I looked around my surroundings and noticed the change.
I'm no longer in the forest...I'm no longer in his house...He is not here...
I remained unmoved and stayed still for a long time before I forced myself to dress up and go out.
It has been six months...
Six months since he disappeared. There's no trace of him. I waited for him to come back but he didn't. I waited for those assassins to come back and finish me off but they didn't. I just waited foolishly.
I was in shock. In dilemma. For a long time, I couldn't believe the fact that he was not there. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know where to start looking or where to go, whom to speak or whom to ask for help. I didn't know anything. My mind was blank.
