"I still don't get why you're helping me." Kion said, he still didn't know if he should trust Oscar, sure, he saved his life, but why?

"It will all be clear soon, trust me." Oscar assured him.

"Not sure I do." Kion muttered.

"Look, Kion, I saved your tail back there, what more do I need to do to earn your trust?" Oscar asked sharply and looked at Kion.

Kion flinched. "I'm sorry... I'll do better..." Kion averted his gaze to the ground, shame burning his pelt and he fidgeted with his paws.

"Look, Kion... I do understand your trust issues, but let me try to help you, ok? What's ahead of you is a whole new future, without abusing, you get to eat yourself measured and you'll get time to heal your ribs." Oscar said.

"Ok, I'll stay, I guess..." Kion shrugged.

"That's the spirit, now I'm gonna go get my boss. Stay here." Oscar started to walk out of the den, leaving Kion there.

"Fuli, is something wrong?" Beshte, kind as he was, asked.

"Kion's not... *sob*... at the den." Fuli cried. They were all pretty surprised, they had never seen her cry before. "I... don't.. *sob*.. know where he is. He could be hurt... *sob* or worse... Even worse... *sob*... I smelled Simba there... Who knows what happened to Kion... *sob* my poor sweetie... Even if he managed to escape from Simba, he'll never make it on his own... *sob* ... the poor thing's half blind, half deaf, and his ribs are all broken..."

"Oh... that's horrible." Beshte said. "What can I do?"

"HELP FIND HIM YOU IDIOT!" Fuli snapped and immediately regretted it. "Sorry, Beshte. I'm just really worried... Kion could be anywhere... he could be lost, scared, and probably even more injured. But I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you."

"It's ok, Fuli, now let's start our patrol, and maybe we'll find Kion on the way." Beshte shrugged.

Fuli glared at him for a couple of seconds. Maybe we'll find Kion on the way. Was that how he thought about his injured, maybe dead friend who had disappeared? But she decided to just shrug it off, maybe Beshte was just in shock. It didn't happen that much during patrol and when it was done The Guard split up to search for Kion. Fuli went alone, she couldn't stand being among others right now. She felt tears running races down her cheeks as the hope faded when she didn't find Kion anywhere.

"Kion... sweetie... where could you be?..." Fuli murmured as she walked. "My sweet little furball... where are you?" Tears still ran down her cheeks. "You can't just be gone just like that... you have to be alive... you have to..."

"KIONNNNNNNN!!!!!!!" Fuli shouted at the top of her lungs, silently hoping that he would somehow hear her. She didn't know why she even expected Kion to just appear out of nowhere. But she did, she prayed to the great kings that she would find Kion. "Kion... sweetie... please be okay... I don't know what I'd ever do without you..." Fuli kept on crying, her hope had totally faded. Kion was gone, he was dead, and no one in The Pridelands would even care. She passed the Hakuna Matata Falls where she saw Ono, Bunga and Beshte talk, they seemed to have a good time, the anger began to boil inside Fuli, she immediately ran over to them.

"What the heck are you doing? You're supposed to look for Kion." She snapped.

"Uhh... Uhh... We have checked the whole Pridelands and we didn't find him."

"'The whole Pridelands'?! I don't think so! I've checked two places this far, how can you possibly already have checked the whole Pridelands?! Why the heck are you lying to me?" Fuli snapped.

"Look, Fuli, we've checked. Accept it, he's probably dead anyway. The sooner we move on, the better," Bunga snapped. Fuli was shocked about Bunga's reaction, he didn't even seem to care.

"Kion was right about you guys, you've never cared about him. You only helped him because you didn't want to get kicked out of the Lion Guard, you psychopaths." Fuli growled, she was beyond furious.

"What? Of course not, but there's no way he survived Simba's ambush back in the den." Ono defended himself. Fuli studied their eyes. Ono and Beshte did actually look sad and Bunga just looked angry, but sadness could create anger. Maybe it was that.

"*Sigh* Just... go with the same routine as every day, I need to be alone for the rest of the day." Fuli looked down in the ground, tears burning behind her eyes.

When Fuli were at a decent distance she let the tears flow, Kion couldn't be dead, it didn't exist.

"I need you, Kion, please come back." She sobbed. "I can't live without you, I'm begging you."

When she was done singing she just looked down in the ground. "Kion.... please come back..." She sobbed, hunching over and letting the tears flow rapidly down her cheeks.

"Kion, my sweetie, my love, please come back to me..."
