They arrive at the trail, jumping out of the car.
"Coach!"
He turns around, shocked to see Stiles, and a little less shocked that Carson was the one to find him. "Stilinski... Woah. Rivera! You found him-"
"Coach, listen to him."
"You need to call off the race, okay? I'm like 90% sure that there are traps all along this trail," he explains.
"Traps? Stilinski-"
"Bear traps, Coach. We have to get the team," she sighs.
"You're sure?"
"There's something on this trail, Coach."
"Fine," he rolls his eyes, as they run to the end of the trail, meeting up with the rest of the team.
"Stop, stop. Everyone stop!" Stiles yells, before spotting a chain. He slowly lifts it off of the ground only to reveal nothing.
Coach starts clapping, before saying, "Congratulations Stilinski. You found a length of chain. Can somebody now please tell me what the hell's going on?"
"Stiles, something's wrong. Something's gonna happen-" she gets cut off by Coach starting to walk into a trip wire. She notices, trying to push him out of the way in time, but he ends up with an arrow in his chest.
"Damnit Coach," she sighs, calling the police. "Hello, yes, I'm at the cross country trail near Lookout Point- Yes that one. Our coach was shot with an arrow, and he needs medical attention, like ASAP. Okay, thank you."
She turns back to the crowd, whispering to Scott. "They're on the way."
"I'm going to die. Get it out of me! I'm gonna die."
"Coach, you are not gonna die," Stiles attempts to hold him down.
"Get back! Give him some room," Aiden yells to the crowd. Stiles continues to stop the bleeding, when Coach passes out.
"I could have killed him. I could have killed him, right? What if it was his head or his throat?" Stiles says with shaky hands. Carson wanted to believe the act so bad, but something was telling her that this wouldn't end well.
"But it wasn't, and he's going to be alright," Scott says.
"I think I just heard the ambulance coming."
"And my dad," Stiles sighs.

Eventually the cops get there, giving Stiles and his dad a chance to reunite, while Carson and Scott wait by his car.
