Several hours after her phone call with her mom, Carson and Lydia drive to the school.
"Let's move to Cabo," Carson blurts.
"What?"
"Cabo. My grandma loves it there. It's warm, the guys are cute, and most importantly there are no supernatural creatures," she explains.
"School?"
"You're a genius, I'm sure you'll figure something out. And I can always charm some rich guy into giving us his money."
"Our friends?"
"Will understand."
"Stiles?"
"Is over me, so it doesn't really matter," she sighs.
"I saw everything, Carson. I don't think he was trying to reject you. Something was obviously bothering him. It's not like he's good with social cues."
"I respectfully disagree. I leaned in to kiss him, and he jumped back like I kicked him in the balls, okay? Rejection was very clear. I was drunk, not stupid."
"You are so stubborn."
"Whatever, and guess what?"
"What?"
"Tyler was at my house this morning."
"No," she gasps.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because he "believes" my aunt is still alive. He thinks I'm stupid, he just wants to come back to Beacon Hills, and he's trying to find my weakness. But I don't have one."
"Maybe investigate it? I'm sure Stiles would love to help?"
"My aunt died, Lydia. I went to the funeral."
"It was a closed casket."
"Are you really considering this? You know, even if she was still alive, I wouldn't want anything to do with her. Honestly, her being alive is worse."
"Why?"
"Because that means she chose to stay away, even when I clearly needed her."

As soon as the girls walk into the school, Stiles steps in front of them with a frantic look on his face.
"Carson!"
"Why are you yelling this early?"
"Come with me, it's important," he grabs her hand, pulling her down the hall.
