A scent of antiseptic could be smelled in the waiting corridor. Occasionally, there would be a stretcher wheeled past hurriedly and ringing telephone in the distance. It was another normal day in the hospital, but not for a certain woman.

A bohemian shepherd sat on a waiting chair while leaning onto a bigger brownish-gray wolfdog. Her appearance was a mess as she didn't have enough time to dress up herself. She didn't even have a shoe on her left foot. Her trembling palms were grabbing the male's shirt tightly. Her swollen eyes were shut tight as tears kept flowing down. The bigger canine was hugging her while trying to comfort her by patting her back.

People say that you never realize how important a person is to you until you are about to lose them. It seems that saying was right.

Regret always comes late.

It had been a long time since she hadn't harbored the feelings of uncertainty in her heart. For the past six years, she had lived with one question. Did her husband still love her?

Ever since he got his new job, the amount of time they spent together had greatly decreased. This greatly made her uneasy. The stress had been building up during that time. Whose wife wouldn't get distressed when her husband was too busy with work to even spend some time with his family?

She couldn't help but feel upset with her husband, but she felt that it was not appropriate to complain to him as she was dependent on him. The house she lived in, her daily expenses, everything, it was all paid with his hard work.

Besides, every time he came home, he always showered her with love and affection. He didn't look like he was ignoring his family at all. He even bothered their son even though it just annoyed him. When that happened, she would throw away the previous thoughts right away and pretend that nothing was wrong. And when he started to go away again for too long, the previous feelings reappeared again. It was a repeating cycle, a vicious circle that piled up negative emotion inside her heart.

She couldn't contain her negative feeling all by herself. That was why, for better or worse, she vented her feelings to someone else, and that was her kid. Unconsciously she would get jealous of her own son who got the most attention from his father when he had free time. She was unable to express her love to him, resulting in her always raising her voice when they two talked. She knew it was not right, but the deed had already been done.

Her statement about leaving was just a spurt of a moment — she was wearing outdoor clothes because she just came back home, and her suitcase was for another occasion. Still, people that saw her must have thought that she was already prepared to leave beforehand. It was the result of her not being able to control her emotions and express her feelings correctly.

That was why, after spending two nights in her parent's house and talking to them, she could finally discuss with her husband about his behavior until now. He looked shocked and guilty as he didn't expect the harm that he caused. With a sad look, he promised to fix his habit and pay more attention to their family.

After the compromise, she went home with him. They couldn't leave their son for too long, as they left without much explanation. Besides, she also owed him an apology for what she had done. Looking back at her treatment until now, she could only bite her nails.

Who had thought that after she tried to check her son upstairs she would see a gruesome sight?

The door of the emergency room opened as a doctor came out. Not wasting a moment, she ran to the birdman in a white coat.

"Doctor! My son! How is my son!" Jeremy shouted with tears as she grabbed his coat.

"Madam, please calm down. Let me-"
