"One iced americano and one iced latte coming right up!" Seungmin took the last order of the day, heading to the back to give it to the barista.

"Hyunjin?"

Seungmin was surprised to find him there because he was usually beside the counter.

"Hey, Min," Hyunjin smiled, gesturing his fiancé to enter. "What's the last order?"

"I thought Felix was here," Seungmin said. "He's supposed to be making the drinks."

"He told me that he had to leave a little early, so I let him go," Hyunjin answered. "So I'll be making the last order for the day."

"We'll make it together," Seungmin grinned, walking over to the workstation. "I'll get started on the Americano, I'll leave the latte to you."

"Yes, sir!"

The two made small talk as they prepared the drinks. They decided to make some spicy ramen for dinner once they go home.

Once the last two customers had left, Seungmin decided to wait outside the cafe while Hyunjin locked up the place.

"Ready to go, love?" Hyunjin asked as he walked out, offering his hand to Seungmin.

The latter simply smiled and intertwined his hand with his boyfriend's.

They walked home in comfortable silence, both of them enjoying the nightlife of the city and the presence of one another.

"What do you want to do tomorrow?" Hyunjin asked quietly, looking up at the moon.

"Don't we have work tomorrow?"

"You don't remember, sweetheart?" Hyunjin chuckled softly. "It's your birthday tomorrow."

"Oh," Seungmin had indeed forgotten about his birthday.

"You seriously forgot?" Hyunjin laughed a little louder this time. "People usually count down to their birthday and here you are..."

"It's just..." Seungmin huffed. "It's just not that important."

"It is to me," Hyunjin answered, turning to face Seungmin as he smiled at him. "It was the day you were born. I never would have met you if it wasn't for that day."

"Stop being so cheesy," Seungmin scoffed but still sqeezed Hyunjin's hand softly because it was his way of showing him some appreciation.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop," Hyunjin held Seungmin's hand a little tighter, his thumb softly stroking his knuckles. "But I still need you to tell me what you want to do tomorrow."

"Are we taking the day off?"

"I've already informed Felix and Jeongin, so don't worry about that," Hyunjin said. "They'll run the cafe just for tomorrow."

"If that's the case," Seungmin continued. "Let's go the beach tomorrow! It's been such a long time."

"Anything for you," Hyunjin replied as they stood before the door to their apartment. "The beach it is."

Hyunjin unlocked the door and two of them walked in. Before Seungmin could on the lights, he heard faint noises.

"Is someone in our house-" Seungmin was cut off by Jisung's loud voice singing the birthday song.

"What-"

Hyunjin turns on the lights and Seungmin finds all their friends dressed in party hats and Felix stood at the centre, holding a blue birthday cake.

"Happy Birthday dear Seungmin," Hyunjin joined them. "Happy Birthday to you."

Felix was now directly in front of Seungmin as the others stood behind him in anticipation.

"Make a wish, Minnie." Felix whispered.

Seungmin closed his eyes and wished for one thing.

I hope these dummies stay with me for the rest of my life.

He blew out the candles and everyone clapped in excitement.

"I call dibs for the biggest piece of cake!" Jeongin exclaimed running to Felix who was in the kitchen, serving food for everyone.

Seungmin sighed and sat next to Hyunjin on their couch.

"This was all your idea, wasn't it?"

"Yes," Hyunjin smiled.

"You lied to me about Felix too?"

"I'm sorry for that," Hyunjin replied. "I sent him early to arrange our place for the surprise."

Seungmin's face was unamused.

"Won't you thank your loving, kind and considerate boyfriend?" Hyunjin asked, giving him a pout with puppy dog eyes.

"You do know that our house is gonna be a mess when they leave, right?" Seungmin asked for which Hyunjin lowered his head in embarrassment.

"I may have... forgot about that tiny little detail."

"It's okay though," Seungmin smiled as he looked over at his friends talking at the table with goofy grins on each of their faces.

"I love them too much, so I don't mind cleaning up after them."

"I'll help you clean up," Hyunjin replied, laughing softly. "If that makes it any better."

"That makes it so much better," Seungmin leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss onto Hyunjin's lips. "Thank you, Jinnie. I love you."

"I love you too."
