FOUR - WRONG TIME

[ SEUNGMIN POV ]

After college was over, I went home as soon as possible.

I reached home, threw my bag on the couch and ran upstairs to my brother's room.

I slammed the door open to find my brother playing video games.

" Jeongin-ah, my friends and I are going out today. You wanna join? " I asked him.

" Uh.... I don't know... "

" Felix will be there! I know how much you love him! "

" Felix hyung is coming! Ok then, I'll tag along, but did you ask dad yet? "

" Um, no not yet. Let me go and ask him now. Do you where he is? "

" In his usual place " he said as though it was obvious.

" Ok, let's hope he says yes "

I exited his room and made my way to the basement, my dad's favourite place.

I descended down the stairs and opened the huge metal door in front of me.

My dad was sitting on a couch across a guy who was tied to a chair.

The dude was beaten up pretty bad. His lips were busted and he had bruises all over his face.

" I'm sorry I came at the wrong time, I'll come back later " I said and was about head back up but my dad stopped me.

" No Seungmin-ah, don't go anywhere. If you're gonna take my place one day, you're gonna have to be able to see this. Now come here and watch this man die "

" But dad- "

" No 'buts', just listen to what I say "

And without a word and walked to my father and stood beside him.

" Sir, please let me go. I promise I'll pay you back the amount I borrowed. Please sir, let me go " the man cried.

" You didn't return the money at the given date, so this is what's gonna happen " my dad replied, took a gun out of his pocket and within a fraction of seconds, he shot the man.

I watched the horror unfold in front of me as the man gave his final breath and his blood dripped onto the floor.

" See my boy, this what they deserve. So don't hesitate to give it to them "

" O-ok d-dad "

My dad called his men to clean and dispose the body while my body was still frozen from shock.

" Anyways, Seungmin-ah. What did you need from me? "

I finally recovered from the shock and answered his question.

" Um, I just wanted to ask you whether I could go out with my friends and Jeonginnie "

" Uh, ok but be safe okay? "

" Yes dad, thank you "

" Take care of your brother "

" I will, bye dad "

And with that I left the basement and ran up to my brother's room as fast as I could and went inside.

" Jeongin, get ready we're going. Dad said yes "

" Really? Ok I'll get ready in about 10 minutes "

" Ok, I'll be in my room when you're done "

" Ok hyung "
