TWENTY THREE - I'LL BE SAFE IF I'M WITH YOU

[ SEUNGMIN POV ]

A few more days, until the week is over. I'll most probably be dead by then.

I was sitting in the room, drinking water, thinking to myself. If Hyunjin and I were to meet in a different life, would we have been together? No. That's a stupid question. We're never destined to be together.

The door suddenly opens and Hyunjin walks inside in a quick pace and shuts the door behind him.

He comes close to me and kneels down in front of me. I place the water bottle down and look at him confused.

" What is it? Why are you so rushed? " I asked. " What's wrong? "

" Seungmin, I wanted to tell you something " Hyunjin replied.

" Are you going to kill me now? "

" No silly, not that "

" Then what? "

" I think.....I'm in love with you "

I was confused. So freaking confused. Is Hyunjin really saying that?

" Hyunjin are you hearing yourself? I'm so confused. Is this a joke, because of it is I'll be really mad and I- " I was saying as he cut in. " Stop it. I'm being serious. I'm in love with you Seungmin "

Well this is a plot twist. Stockholm Syndrome at its finest.

" Hyunjin, are you sure? Are you just confused or something? "

" No Seungmin-ah, I've never been so sure in my entire life "

" How are you so sure? How come you just fell in love with me all of a sudden? What if you're just saying this because you pity me? What if you're lying? "

" I don't lie Seungmin, especially to you. I'm not pitying you as well. I just said what I felt. I always say what I feel, it's your choice to accept it or not "

" If you're so sure, prove it " I said. I didn't think he had reasons to love me.

" Seungmin, why do you think I haven't killed you yet, huh? Keeping you alive for information was useless because you didn't know anything, but why didn't I kill you yet? Did you think of that? Why did I apologize to you for loving me when I left the room a while ago? It's because I was sorry for causing you pain because I thought we would never work out. When I first saw you in the park Seungmin, you could call that love at first sight. I never believed in all such things before, I always thought that love was too cringe but you came into my life and changed all of that. Then reality hits you and you realize that you've gotta kill the boy you fell in love with at first sight. The boy the heart wants. Seungmin, if this much is not enough proof for you, then I don't know what else to do "

" Hyunjin, we won't work out. You're supposed to kill me, that's your job. You've got to let go "

" I'm not letting you go Seungmin. Understand that. I'm not going to kill either you or your friends. You guys are going to get outta here as soon as possible, just wait till I think of a plan. Then you'll be out of this whole problem "

" What about you? You know what you're dad will do to you "

" I know. I just have to think of something "

" Hyunjin don't risk yourself for me. You know you don't have to "

" But I will Seungmin. And don't worry, nothing will happen to me. I have a few people with me that can help, I'll be fine and you and your friends will too "

" Thank you Hyunjin "

Instead of a welcome, he slowly leaned in, closer to me and captured my lips in a kiss. I can't believe it was finally happening! My first kiss.

It started out a bit awkward, since I didn't fully adjust to it yet since it was my first time, but once I did, it felt like heaven.

His lips moved against mine softly, his hands cupping my face as mine were wrapped around his neck. He grabbed my face and pulled me closer to him, deepening the kiss.

I could sense that he was longing for this as long as I was.

The feeling was too overwhelming, so I unintentionally moaned. I felt him smile into the kiss as he continued to kiss me. He liked being dominant.

We broke apart from the kiss a while later for air. I looked down to my lap to prevent him from seeing the embarrassing bright blush on my cheeks. He backed away from me as I looked up at him and he held both my hands. He took them to his lips and gently pecked them, smiling at me.

" You'll be safe Seungmin, as long as you're with me " he said.

" I know Hyunjin, you'll keep me safe. I know you will " I replied.
