A Heart Made Fulmetal (A flamed eternity sequel.)

Chapter 2-Ed

The hardest think i have ever done, and will do..was telling my son that his father was going away for a long time. Mustang couldnt bring himself to tell Maes, so he left it to me while he went to go pack. 24 hours and he would be gone. We spent every minute together,hugging each other. Taking Maes out to the park...
Maes sat on the bar stool, his feet dangling.
"Daddy, why are you upset?" he asked looking up at me with his big brown eyes. I swallowed down a sob and took a shuddered breath. "Maes, daddy has to go somewhere...for a long time. He needs to help his country, but im going to be here with you. And daddy will write to you every month. So he will know what you get up to.."
He looked at me confused and then looked down, tears teetering on the edge of his eyes.
"It's because of the war isnt it..Bobby says its because of the stinking Ishvalans...but i think it's because of the stupidness of us.." he said.
I gasped as i realized how intelligent my son was and hugged him... "Yes Maes, its because of the war..but think about it, you can see Amy more than you normally can..and Al can come over EVERY day if you want him to...And ill even teach you some alchemy..Not physical, but about the books i read."

He nodded and jumped down from the stool. "hey, ill come see you in a little while ok?" i said watching him go upstairs. I turned right towards the living room and sat on the couch, the weight of recent events finally crushing me. I lay on the couch allowing sleep to fill my mind with nothing.

I awoke to find Mustang curled up beside me, his suitcase stood at the end of the couch, his uniform on top, ironed and ready. I checked the time and closed my eyes, tears escaping. 8 hours. Mustang stirred and opened his eyes... I moved my arm around him, the realization that time was almost up hit him. He shuddered and clung onto me..."so much for being older" i thought holding him..
"im sorry for leaving you like this, if i had a choice i would say no in a heartbeat." said Mustang, his breathing in time with mine.

I chuckled and moved his face towards mine "i dont blame you, i never will...dont ever thing i do. I love you Roy Mustang, and dont every forget that, no matter what happens in the 4 years that i wont see you."  I kissed him blocking his worries.

I pulled away and stood up, "c'mon, we need to drop Maes off before we go to the train station..."
He nodded and stood beside me,he placed in uniform on the couch and walked over to his suitcase
"you know fullmetal, i feel as though i owe you something, but i dont know what." he said before walking out of the living room.

"what does he mean OWE?!" i thought

Hey guys..sorry that this chapter is so short, i have tonsillitis...so im not feeling the best..i am betterish. just not 100% and I HATE being ill...
