38. Santh

"You have to work more into your interno. Feel it rushing through your veins like an adrenaline. Embrace it. But don't let it overwhelm you. Mawawalan ka ng kontrol." Sir Brax warned on Santh who was sweating inside the pentagon.

"I can't feel them." hinihingal na wika ni Santh. His dark brown hair are clinging wet on his forehead. "My fire won't come out."

I've been informed that Santh doesn't have control over his interno.

"You leave me no choice but to resort the hard way." naiiling na sabi ng aming guro.

Napakunot ang aking noo. Will he get hurt?

"Anong gagawin mo sa kanya?" tanong ni kuya Helix. Tinapik lang siya ni Sir Brax sa balikat.

"Don't worry." he assured us, before dropping his gaze to me.

I shifted the weight on my position. Inabot ko ang dulo ng mahaba kong buhok sa likuran, tanda na ninenerbyos ako.

"Bakit, Sir?" tanong ko.

Inilahad niya ang kamay niya patungo sa loob ng pentagon. "Enter the pentagon please."

Huminga ako nang malalim bago tinahak ang daan. Automatic na nagbukas ang salaming pinto bago ako pumasok.

I met Zedrick's gaze when I looked outside. He looks bored but anticipating. I bit my lip.

Lumapit ako kay Santh at hinawakan ang magkabilang pisngi niya. He's swamped. I couldn't help but think that Sir Brax is overworking him this day alone.

"Breathe. I'm here. You can make it." I gave him a genuine smile. He stared at me in return.

Nagpakawala siya ng malalim na hininga. "Patricia, you better get out."

"Why?"

"You're shaken up." he hoarsely answered. "I can sense your throbbing veins. Especially the ones on your neck."

I scoffed. "Santh, you need to unleash your interno."

"Why do you think he sent you here?" he diverted his gaze on Sir Brax, causing me to follow it.

Inihampas nito ang meter stick na hawak sa palad. "You'll both enter an illusion. Take down as many psychics as you can." he nodded at me before continuing. "Gamitin mo lahat ng natutunan mo kay Atticus, Patricia."

Santh and I stood up as the surroundings shifted to a dark meadow. Sobrang lawak nito at umaabot sa tuhod ko ang haba ng mga damo.

"Be alert." Santh told me.

Hindi pa ako nakaka-'oo' ay may sumulpot na bampira sa harapan ko. I rolled on the side before its long nails could claw me.

I immediately reached out my lash whip from my back and struck it in the air. The psychic took a lunge at me which I abruptly dodged. I thwacked its head with the whip handle. Naglaho ito nang parang nasusunog na papel.

Two psychics emerged at my front ready to slaughter me. Kinalkula ko muna ang galaw nila dahil unti-unti ang paglapit nila. 

I stood on my fighting stance. Aatake na sana ako nang madapa ako pauna at nabitawan ko ang latigo ko. 

Sa sobrang bilis ng pangayari ay hindi na ako nakaramdam ng kaba, ni hindi ko rin napansin nang pumalit si Santh sa posisyon ko upang sumugod. His dagger shone from the reflection of the moon before it decapitated the two psychics in a single slash.
