Ch. 12 - Quality Time

Hiro rose from his bed on this day, looking around the room to see Tatsuya awake and up on his own. "Starts today- doesn't it?" He asked the taller man as he then replied, "It does however, rookie events are about one or two more days away." a grunt came from the shorter male as he got up and got his school-related clothing on. The green, white, and black coat slipped over his gray button-down shirt, which was included with a black sweater vest. Looking to the desk, he walked over and took out both of his CADs once again.

"Aren't you going to be hanging with Miyuki?" Tatsuya asked as Hiro then replied "Yes, I am however, that doesn't mean I'm not responsible to my duties.." the man knew this well due to his low-key job as a soldier in the JDSF. The two walked out as they were met with their usual group getting together, with Miyuki looking at the two and greeting them promptly. She avoided the red-eyed boy's gaze as she was kind of embarrassed from the previous night in the hot spring. A soft voice cut through Hiro's gaze as Shizuku said softly; "Mari should be on soon.. we should be heading to the stadium." which gained a nod from Hiro, "No arguments there."

As they took their seats within the stadium, the announcer began to speak. He didn't pay much attention to the voice as he looked at the boards take off on the water raceway. It was needless to say that Mari was well rounded in this- as she gained the overall lead pretty rapidly. Sitting next to Miyuki made Hiro feel.. good, the cold radiating from her body was something that he enjoyed. The awkwardness between the two began to fade as they watched the match with Mari of course coming out in first position. As the match ended, everyone began to move around to get to the next event, which had his sister taking a position in it.

"Miyuki, do you mind?" He asked her as they stepped to the side- with the rest of them going ahead into the stadium. It didn't need to be stated that Tatsuya was keeping a close eye on the two either. She avoided his gaze again, "Did I uh.. do something?" he asked curiously as she shook her head. "What's wrong?" Hiro placed a hand on her cheek to comfort her, "You can talk to me." he said lightly as she began looking at his eyes once again. "I'm not so sure.." she said lightly as he then said, "If there is anything wrong, you can come get me. We still have the rest of today anyway." which gained a smile and nod from her. "Thank you for your concern, Hiro.. I appreciate it." he noted that time was running out, "Hm.. we're gonna be late, come on."

As he said this he snatched her hand and ran with her to the next event quickly, she blushed lightly at the sudden snatch but, continued on with him. "I'm gonna let go now.." he said lightly before letting go, as to which she acknowledged what he was doing. In reality- he could see through her, due to the fact that it was a literal girls night out last night, he already considered the possibility of her being teased due to being with another guy alone. Climbing into their seats and sitting as Mayumi began to walk out with her second high school counterpart. Five bulbs began to light, each one being red as it made its way to the sixth bulb, with was notably a green color. The match started swiftly as Mayumi began pulling her trigger rapidly, with a skill gap being seen between the two.

The skill gap was so great that by the time the Saegusa girl reached one-hundred out of one-hundred, the counterpart was only at forty-nine. Cheers erupted from the crowd as the match wrapped up, with a smiling Hiro being spotted by Maymi, receiving the same warmth he output. That was the overall conclusion of the first high matches which now begged the question what they were going to do. Miyuki then spoke up softly, "Hiro- didn't you want to hangout later?" she asked which gained a nod from Hiro. "I'm going to celebrate with your sister for a little bit, I'm sure she'd want you to join in." she smiled at him before grabbing his hand. "We should head over to her." her light tug across his hand made him smile warmly and stand up before following. Of course he was stronger and heavier than her, so her grasp slipped on him as he stood up and walked with her.
