Ch. 20.5 - Past Bloom

Okinawa. The birth place of the "Demon of Okinawa" and the lesser-known, "Reaper of Okinawa". It was three years ago when both had debuted, with mystery shrouding both individuals with two questions that lingered for years: who are these individuals? how have they not been detected? Hiro was an artificial spike mage that excelled in crystal manipulation, even to the degree where he would be considered stronger than real spike mages. Tatsuya was a "BS" magician, or a magician that only used one type of magic although, this magic can be proved valuable and terrifying. The day it all happened, Hiro had met both Miyuki and Tatsuya on that same day, even catching the eyes of some from the ten master clans. Now- comes the interactions and combat of that day.

Tatsuya had just been returning after his outburst against the GAU for attacking his little sister and his mother, thus was already fuming with anger. Miyuki ran up to him and gave him a bear hug as tanks launched by the GAU began to roll up with standard infantry in between them. The male went to raise his CAD however, was cut off by a small formation of spikes that sprouted from the ground in front of him with a shorter male stepping out. His hand quickly rose as he said, "Stop." to the GAU forces just to gain a simple laugh towards him and firearms aimed at him. A spike rose up and impaled one of the infantrymen, causing his immediate death as it was through the center of his body. The shorter male reached to a katana strapped to his side as he sprinted forward with crystal on his legs, slamming the blade into one of the men and splitting him in half.

This melee continued until all that was left was the tanks, as to which he just let his spikes run wild and impale them. To keep himself somewhat a secret from the GAU, the spikes dissipated quickly, cracking and steaming as they faded away. He turned away from the wreckage as he then walked towards the three Yotsuba standing in front of him, with Tatsuya raising his CAD towards him. His hand lightly raised as he set it down onto the gun-shaped CAD, causing it to crystallize over as he attempted to pull the trigger on the male. As a mutuality was then reached between the two, it was lowered with the cloaked man's focus shifting to Miyuki and Miya. He walked over to the girl that was, with his hand being placed against her cheek as reassurance. "It will be all right." his hood flowed as he looked down at the girl, only being a few inches taller but, nonetheless taller. A hand was placed on his shoulder by Tatsuya- as to which he knew pretty fairly what it meant.

A nod came from him as he then turned and approached a high-ranking officer, Kazuma. His hand extended out for a shake as he nearly had to bend down to shake his hand. "I'd assume you're.. a spike mage?" which gained a silent response from the male, a nod. "Is there anything we should... call you?" the younger Kazuma asked as the younger male spoke, "Hiro." he said bluntly as an understanding was quickly made between the two. "I will be heading to the places that need the most reinforcement in an effort to take the load off of them." the male now revealed as Hiro said.

Continuing on with the events from that day, blood was a general association with a short man in a black cloak. The GAU communications sparking with reports of Hiro's appearance at multiple fronts in Okinawa. Screams were a common occurrence as well, especially over the radio which was tapped into by the JDSF. It just so happened that the three Yotsuba were in a JDSF facility- so much of this was heard, as well as cameras on the GAU vehicles tapped into to see what was going on. A common sight was Hiro standing over a soldier before ripping off a limb and slashing them in the throat with his blade before they collapsed and passed out due to extreme blood loss. It was dictated over the GAU communications: "The Reaper of Okinawa has had his fun. Pull back before the Demon comes to back him up." nicknames for the two most terrifying weapons that the Japanese had to offer. The name of "Demon of Okinawa" radiated through all nations within the world, while the "Reaper of Okinawa" only went out as far as the GAU and New Soviet Union. After the impact of the failure in Okinawa, the GAU was observed to neutralize after this- presumably to regain strength. This lasted for a good three years, where the Reaper and Demon of Okinawa would once again be called upon.
