Kylon's First New Years
Kylon frowned lightly, bored. It was his first New Year’s celebration at the Corophy Farms and it was already not his favorite thing there. He hadn't had many friends there, since he's only been here for a few months and the only person he could really call his friend was Suri. But he was afraid to since he really liked the raven haired teen.
Diro had been really harsh on him the past few months since he was new to the whole thing and he refused to follow the rules and regulations at the farms. Including keeping dragons on leashes when they were out or when you were supposed to give them baths. And he always played with the new born hatchlings and Diro would scold him, saying he was making the hatchlings soft.
He didn't think the farms were being very fair to him, but he didn't care. He almost liked being independent because of his secret, the secret that only Suri knew. He hadn't even planned on telling anyone his secret, let alone telling Suri about it.
So, here he was, in his dragon form and sitting along the edge of a small cliff, alone while watching the three moons rise. It was only a little after dragon-light so he had plenty of time to enjoy the scenery before Diro would come looking for him.
He watched a few dragons fly over head and watched as Acou, Shiji, and Mona continue to rise, saying that it really was almost midnight since the three moons would soon align.
"Hey Kylon, little dragon?" Kylon lifted his head up as he heard Suri's voice and panicked.
He really didn't want to see Suri this night since it was after all New Years. So he looked around desperately for a hiding spot but failed as Suri came into view, a wide grin on his face.
"Ah, thought I might find you here! What are you doing here all alone? You should be at the farms with the others, having fun!" Suri said and Kylon shook his head quickly, making Suri frown.
"No one wants me around, so why bother?" Kylon mumbled and Suri smirked. Kylon still never understood how he could understand him while others couldn't. Not to mention that Suri could only seem to understand him and only him, not other dragons as well.
"Diro would want you there." he said teasingly and Kylon glared at him, changing into his human form before sitting down.
"Only to clean up the messes." he grumbled before watching as Suri knelt down beside him.
"Oh come on, little dragon..." Suri put his chin in the palm of his hand in thought before smiling wide at his idea. "I would like you to be there." he said, glancing up for a brief second to acknowledge the moons were almost in line.
Kylon’s eyes widened as he looked up at Suri. "Really?"
"Of course Kylon!" Suri cheered lightly and chuckled as he saw Kylon's light blue eyes sparkle. And he pulled the dragon up to his feet before grinning wide to himself, hearing the bell horns blow in the farms and he leaned in to capture Kylon's lips with his own. He noticed Kylon's eyes grow really wide and his face turned a bright shade of red before he, as well as Suri, closed his eyes.
After a few more seconds, Suri pulled back, earning a small whimper from Kylon and smirked at the dragon, chuckling lightly.
"Now come on, little dragon, everyone is waiting for us to get back!" Suri said and tugged a reluctant dragon along the beaten path back to the farms. 'Happy New Years, Kylon.' he thought with much satisfaction.
