after the week i flew home to LA to meet with mindy in person to talk about the role. it was now saturday morning and my meeting was at 10am

i threw on some baggy ripped mom jeans, an oversized creme sweatshirt, and some white tennis shoes. it was a beautiful day out in LA today i was so happy to be back. it was on the cooler side, a high of 65 but the sun was shinning. i added some sunglasses and grabbed my phone and car keys and left my apartment building

"ada it's so good to actually meet you in person" mindy says as we take both take a seat on opposite sides of a large table

"so i think you did a really good job the other day. i just wanna see you read through some more lines in person" she states and i nod as she slides me the new lines and we read through them

"okay great sweetie. I'm going to bring darren in here and my co writers so we can make sure we the kiss is good" she says and i nod. if anyone who wasn't an actor had heard that they would think it was extremely odd. but you just have to be down for whatever in auditions and i understand her wanting to make sure darren and i could bring dylan and paxton's love story alive

"hey ada" darren says as he walks into the room putting a hand out

"hey! nice to see you" i say shaking it

"you too" he says smiling

the other writer comes in and they sit down as darren and i start infront of them reading the lines of the first kiss scene

"okay now the kiss" the other writer named james says

darrens had goes to the back of my neck as he pulls me in. our lips touch softy. it was a short and sweet kiss and the writers were convinced

"ada you got the part, congrats" mindy says standing up shaking my hand again

"alright sweetie so we know your working on two other shows at the moment but from our understanding supergirl is ending soon and our shooting schedule with cobra kai's won't inter-fear" james says and i nod

"so we will let everyone who needs to know your our lead role and we will be in touch" mindy says smiling

"ok, thank you so much" i say as all four of us stand up and head out of the office.

mindy and james stay in the building but darren and i grab our bags and leave

"three tv shows that's insanely impressive" he says as we walk to the elevator

"aw thanks" i say chuckling a bit as we step onto the elevator

"and if you don't mind me asking how old are you?" he asks

"19, 20 soon" i say smiling

"holy shit, I'm almost a decade older than you" he says and my eyes widden

"shut up really, you look so young" i say

"i get that a lot. that's why i keep getting booked as a highschooler in all my work" he says

"well you do an amazing job" i say as we step out of the elevator

"it was good meeting you ada" he says before we part ways

"you too!" i say as i walk to my car

i sit in my car for a second before driving away. i can't believe how far I've come. i feel like i think that every day but like seriously. in the spand of three years I've blown up on youtube, booked three shows, and released two songs. god is good.
