( Cries in I finally fcking finished the 8th chapter for my supernatural fic so I can focus on this now...It took days to write that chapter....I regret making them so long....I'm glad this story's chapters aren't as long)

You set you bag down next to the bed in the hotel you and William were staying at. You laid down on the bed tired. William set his bag down and sat next to you. "So what are we doing here?" he asked you. "There's a guy that lives around here that knows a whole lot about fnaf. He should hopefully be able to help us." you said, sitting up onto your forearms. "And who is he?" William asked quizzically. "His name is Mathew. He runs a YouTube channel called game theory and goes by MatPat." You explained.
"I don't trust him." William grumbled, crossing his arms. "You don't even know him." you said, sitting up fully. "Now let's go. We need to figure out what's wrong with you." you patted Williams leg as you got off the bed. Grabbing a hoodie you opened the door and looked at William expectantly. He huffed but stood up and followed you out. "Wipe that smug smile off your face, he's not gonna be able to help." William growled. You grabbed William collar and pulled his head down "You don't know that. Now drop the attitude or you're not having sex for a week."
William blushed and looked away "Fine." he huffed. You let his collar go and started walking out of the hotel.

"Does he even know we're coming?" William asked. You bit your lip and looked away "(Y/N)!" "I didn't think he's believe me if I just sent an email saying 'Hey game theorizer, my name (Y/N) and I'm fucking William Afton. He's actually a pretty okay dude but he's having some glitchy problems. Mind helping me out and figuring out what's wrong with him?'" you said. William gave you a deadpan look. "My point exactly. He would have thought I was crazy." you grumbled, shoving your hands in your pockets.
"This is a bad idea." William mumbled as you two knocked on the door of a house. "Be more positive Will."you said, nudging his side. "This is a bad idea." William said in a overly cheery tone, and a smile obviously forced. "That's better." you chuckled. William growled at you and looked around. When the door opened you stood up taller and William turned his attention back to the door. "Um...Yes?" it was MatPat. "Yes, Hi. I'm (Y/N) and I need your help." you stuttered.
"What do you need my help for?" he asked. "Please don't think I'm crazy but," you grabbed Williams arm and pulled him closer to you. "This is William Afton and I need your help with finding out why his eyes keep randomly glowing." you shot out. MatPat blinked and stared at William "It was probably better to just email him." William whispered to you. "Iknow IsoundcrazybutthisreallyisWilliamandhe'snotasbadasyouwouldthink. He'sactuallyareallyniceguyonceyougettoknowhimandIdon'twantanythingbadtohappentohimsowillyoupleasehelp?" You talked way to fast. Even William wasn't quite sure what you'd said.
"(Y/N), he isn't gonna believe you-" before William could finish MatPat took a step back. William eyes had started glowing again. "SEE!? Normal people eyes don't do that. I'm not crazy!" You shouted, wildly pointing at William. MatPat thought for a second before steeping aside "Alright, come in." you smiled and hopped inside, William close behind. "So...Run me through how," MatPat side eyed William "He's, here." he finished.
"Well, I got Help Wanted and started playing. Then he was just there. You'll have to ask him how he got put of the game though." you explained. MatPat looked to William "I hacked my own game." was all he said. Once you both realized William wasn't going to explain further MatPat looked back to you "So...What exactly is wrong with him?" he asked you. "His eyes keep randomly glowing. Normally he can control it or it happens when he feels an emotion really strongly."
"!, c@n't th!nk 0f @nyth!ng th@t c0u|d be wr0ng" William tried speaking. You and MatPat both jumped in surprise at his voice. William himself looked shock at how he sounded. "And he apparently does that now." you added. "I'll-....I'll see what I can do." MatPat said. "Thank you!" you shouted, smiling. You hadn't been sure if he would actually help even if he believed you, with William being an ex-child murderer and all. "Follow me- (dun dun dun, dun nu nun) I have an editing room that can hopefully help us find out what's wrong." you both followed MatPat as he walked you through the house.
"You're technically still game code right?" MatPat asked as you all walked into his editing room. "More or less. I can still go back into the game and become code. I'm not quite sure how it works with my new physical form however." William explained. "Alright, take a seat and I'll see what I can do." William grabbed a chair and sat down.

You had eventually fallen asleep. You were laying against Williams legs, your head in his lap. William was carding his fingers through you hair, smiling down at you. MatPat had found that he could stick cables into William arms. His body purely a manifestation and not an actual physical form...sort of like a ghost. "I might have found the problem." MatPat said, glancing over at William. William raised a brow in question.
"You made your body completely out of thin air. Your code/remnant isn't anchored to anything like it was with Springtrap. You're glitching because your code is unstable. You need an actual body if you want this to stop. If you don't do anything about it there's a high possibility that your code will start diminishing and you eventually won't exist, passing on, finally." MatPat explained, muttering the last word.
William looked concerned "How the fuck am I supposed to get a body? It's not like I can-" William cut himself off. "...I can make one." he pondered quietly. It would take a while but he could manage. William gently shook you awake "Love, it's time to wake up." he said softly. You groaned and lifted your head "Five more minutes?" you asked, looking up at him. "No. But you can sleep when we get back to the hotel. Now get up." William said.
You whined but stood up, stretching. "Did you figure out what's wrong?" you asked, looking to MatPat. "He needs an actual body." he explained to you. "How-" "I can make one love. I am a genius that used to run a robotics company after all." William said with a confident smile. You smiled back and pulled William into a hug. He hugged you back tightly. You let go and looked to MatPat "Thank you, so much, for your help."
"Of course. Just, make sure he doesn't go on a murderous rampage?" he asked. "Will do." you told him. As you and William walked out and away from the house MatPat watched you leave "...Let's hope your influence on him is as strong as I think it is." He said quietly, turning back into the house and shutting the door. "Even if it's not, at least I can deactivate him from now."

Mystery. Man. Wasn't. Henry. That would have been no fun and this fic would have turned into a Helliam fic T^T
